Ok, I'm far from fat, but I do have quite a gut on my stomach. It looks very unattractive, especially if you look at me from the side. It's only noticeable when Im shirtless, but it looks ugly. I want to get rid of the weight on my upper body and firm up. Cuz when ur belly sticks out more than ur chest, its quite unattractive. What's the best way to get rid of the stomach/upper body weight?

U cant notice it in the picture as much, for 2 reasons:

1) it isnt as noticeable from the front as it is from the side. and...

2) I was sucking in a little bit when I took that picture =)

We cant spot reduce body fat so the only way is reducing body fat percentage which you achieve by healthy diet and exercise. (sit ups and crunches only build muscle - they dont burn any fat)
find daily calorie intake calculator, enter your stats and find maintenance intake- take off 400-600cal and you will lose eating that much a day.
use fitday.com to track your intake
eat 5-6 small meals a day -make healthy food choices - complex carbs, lean protein, healthy fats, dietary fiber (5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day) etc.
cardio is the only fat burning exercise, 4-6 times a week for average of 45min (at least take kids for an hour long walk every day), light weight training a few times a week
at least 8 glasses of water a day
no candy, junk/fast food, fried food, nothing made out of white flower, no processed foods, no sodas

Hi,
I had a problem similar to yours and for years I did fitness training and watched my diet which worked to some extent. Fortunately I recently came across an excellent book available for download on the web which solved all my problems. It is worth every cent, best investment I ever made. You can download from this site which is also well worth reading;
