Humanists means agnostics and athiests. Really, why cant't we all get along?

I hear on these boards both hating each other, but that not what either of us are TRULY about.

Its about respect.

And I' m talking about AMERICANS and those of similar free countries on here.

We both at heart strive for the same goals.

Why do we let the political forces that rip us apart for their own selfish greedy gain?

Are we really as a whole so stupid to be blind to it?

While we will never agree on most, can we not agree to band together as people united for the best for THE WHOLE.

How about we set it all aside for a moment, and regain our F***ING composure and unity.

- NOTHING WE DO MATTERS IF WE ARE NO LONGER RELEVANT.

(courtney love sydrome)

Lets get together on the real issues, leave to pope behind. Its all about us.

BTW: it isn't "God bless America", it is America that has allowed you to bless your god, and most of them were agnostics (Unitarian Universalist)

I fully agree. Christianity is suppposed to be about loving, not judging and seperating.
We can't achieve anything as a species until we learn we are all the same regardless of our beliefs.

Dear learning conformity,

Part of being a Christian is understanding life from God's point of view. One of the things that the Bible teaches Christians is that there is no partiality or favoritism with God (in other words- God views people in an equal light- everyone is guilty of sin- and so it's up to the individual to make up their individual minds about Jesus).

i think in a country where religious freedom is secured by our government-- it is OK for Christians to believe what the Bible teaches. i think how they express that is a lot of times what leaves a sour taste in people's minds/opinions.

As a Christian i think that it's paramount to view people in an equal light. And to join in causes like civil rights and making sure that people are treated with dignity and respect. It doesn't mean that i can't believe what the Bible teaches because i'm a sinner saved by grace and no better than someone who rejects God-- i just have a different standing before God according to His Word.

i am sorry to hear that your impression of Christianity is that Christians do not treat people with dignity. Christians should not feel that they are better than anyone else- Jesus came to be a humble servant to others and Christians ought to imitate that same attitude.

Kindly,

Nickster
