Another "thinker" from you! Here's some thoughts:
How about the fellow who stops Scrooge and says he cannot repay his loan? Have you ever had someone stiff you on money you lent in good faith? It sucks - score one for Ebinezer.
On the flip side, turning aside the gentlemen from the charities suck - take a point away!
When I shop, I'm incredibly price conscious. When I hire labor, price is always a big consideration. Is Scrooge wrong to pay the lowest possible wages without losing help? We all do it - another point for Scrooge.
He did give Bob the day off for Christmas, but then berated him for it. I score that one a draw at best, maybe a point away.
Chasing away the pan handling kids is tough. The kids are cute, and trying to earn a wage. Take one from Scrooge. If you've ever talked disparingly about the pan handlers you come across in everyday life, give Scrooge a point.
Have you ever had to repeadedly decline a party invitation from someone you disliked? Consider the number of times he declined his nephew's invite. Maybe a point for Scrooge?
Taking the chance of letting his only friend die alone - take 2 points from Scrooge.
By my count, it's close - but Scrooge narrowing loses. If he wants to be miserable, that's his choice - no points for or against. (Same with me! if I want to be miserable and alone for a day, let me be!)
Funny - I didn't realize how much Scrooge is in all of us! Way to go, Bella!

He started off mean and miserable but ended up happy and generous.
However, we need to recognise that he directed his generosity towards the poor that could benefit from more food, fuel and clothing. He did not waste resources on himself or people who already had enough.
The habit of trying to keep up with the neighbours by spending wastefully at Christmas is not true generosity. It wastes resources that are needed by the poor and by future generations.
Best wishes for a wiser, healthier and happier Christmas
