In most US states 18 is the number, 16 with your parents consent, check with a local tat shop find out your local laws, then ask your mom! or better yet wait 2 years see if you still really want it!

You need parental permission to get a tattoo before you are 18. Once you turn 18, you need a valid ID. Tattoos are forever and what you like at 16 you may hate at 40. I'm not against them, just think long and hard about what you want. I am 24 and have been planning my first tattoo for about a year now.
Cost will vary depending on size, color and intricacy. Most tattoos are in the area of $75- $100 an hour. Consider what you will get on your forearm because it is an area of your body that is hard to cover up. Tattoos are not always appropriate in certain situations or for certain jobs. It's true and it's a fact. It's not always the case and I know plenty of people with tattoos who are great people and have wonderful jobs. It can be off-putting to some people though.

Well it depends on which state you are in, If in Ohio you have to be 18 unless with parents there. Normally between 50-100 depending on how big, how much color you want, and things like that, just make sure to look into the place you are going more expensive places = better results, make sure they are qualified, and have certificates showing health inspections, try to find friends or family who can tell you how they did at giving them, my friend paid 150 for one, and it ended up looking really bad because the person didn't know what they were doing,
hope this helps
it seems ones in Ohio are cheaper than most places too, but yea, make sure you know what you want, my friend told me where he lives you cant get a tattoo until you are 19 even with parents consent, and if you do they make you remove that tattoo or you cant go to school (he asked the tattoo shop and his school) so
i just saw you already have a tattoo, and are you gay?? just wondering, i am not judging, i would like to know, i am bi, so i will NOT get offended or judge you.

honnestly, no you dont, but you need a parent there. even still, some places will refuse to tattoo you because of the law and stuff.
i would wait until you're 18, and keep your design in mind. if you still like it when ur 18, go and get it. the worst thing is getting something for the sake of getting it and being stuck with something you hate or everyone thinks is lame.
ps removing a tattoo is way worse than getting one in the first place!

If your parent or guardian goes with you, yes you can. (In most states, in some states, it's against the law even with a consenting adult.) Some shops may flat-out refuse to tattoo you if you're a minor. Small tattoos usually run about $100 dollars, and bigger, more complex tattoos go from there. (By the way... tattoos are things you DON'T want to get a bargain on. Usually there's a reason they're cheaper, ie. bad ink, inexperienced tattooer, etc.)

ya you have to be 18 unless your parent signs the paper....and depending on how big and how much detail will determine the price tattoos are expensive (unless you have a hook up) mines would have cost about 210 but the guy charged me 75....and one more thing...think long and hard what you want....for it having a less chance of you regretting it make it a meaningful tattoo and not just something you think looks cool

Yes you have to be 18 to get one without your parents present. The cost depends on how big it is and if it is going to be colored in or not. I have two nautical stars on the inside of both wrists that are colored in black and red and I paid $100. I also have a dragon at the top of my back colored in all black and I paid $180.

Yes you can with parental consent depending on the state you are living in. As for prices, you need to be more specific as to the size and placement of the tattoo
