Three of my friends and I are planning on a ski trip to Vermont in the beginning of March. We would like to go to Mount Snow, Killington, Sugarbush, and Stowe. Is there any kind of pass we could get instead of paying for single day lift tickets at each ski resort? I noticed the powder passport on another website but it does not include any of the mountains I mentioned. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This year, skiers and riders can take advantage of Ski Vermont’s 3/5 Pass, a sampler pass designed to give people a chance to ski/ride a variety of Vermont resorts. The 3/5 Pass costs $125 for three tickets or $200 for five tickets and can only be purchased from Ski Vermont.

"With the upcoming holidays, the 3/5 Pass is the perfect gift for any skier or rider," said Parker Riehle, President of Ski Vermont. "It's also a great gift for those who are new to the sport since it can be used as a beginner learn-to-ski or learn-to-ride package that includes a limited lift ticket, lesson and rental equipment."

Resorts do not have to be selected in advance of purchase, but quantities are limited. The 3/5 Pass tickets are valid any day of the 2006-2007 season except for holiday blackout dates determined on an individual resort basis.

For more information or a Ski Vermont’s 3/5 Pass application call 802-223-2439 or email passes@skivermont.com. For complete information on resorts and conditions go to skivermont.com.

Not usually. All four resorts are owned by different groups. Likewise, I doubt you will get a deal on lodging unless you want to spend a lot of time in the car.

Mt.Snow to Killington is about 1.5 hours
Killington to Sugarbush is about 1 hour
Sugarbush to Stowe is just over an hour.

This is about how fast I can make it using shortcuts and praying there are no flatlanders holding up traffic on VT-100...or no severe snow storms. Add 20%-25% driving time if you don't know the roads.

Best bet is to find a place close to each resort...but then you eliminate the chance of getting any hotel deals.

Doing a Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Killington, and Okemo trip would allow you to at least stay in one place close to Big-K...then you might be able to snake a deal on the hotel.

For the absolute answer to the ski deal question, contact Ski Vermont. Here is their info.

To the best of my knowledge there is not a multi day pass available for these ski areas. You could check he websites or give them a call for more information. I think the powder passport is Jay, MRG and Bolton wich by the way are some of the better though less know ski areas in VT.

Enjoy your trip! Vermont is great in March.
