The best presents are gift cards.. I have an international relationship being an Aussie myself.. Be careful if sending DVDs, CD's and games as they aren't compatible with international components/systems.

Go to websites in australia like David Jones, Woolworths and yes even Target and see if you can purchase something online and include their shipping address of where they live now.

My sister sends me gift cards all the time from australia and I love getting e-gift cards to stores and go shopping myself. Target is a no-brainer as they have many of the same items here so purchasing online is a breeze.

I have attached the link for you

A video game? All 12 year olds I know love that stuff, and that seems to be all that they want for Christmas. Of course, it has to be a certain game too, that's the only downside to it. When my 12 yr old brother in law didn't get the video game he wanted for Christmas last year, he cried. I never knew it was that important, he got a pretty good game, but it just wasn't the one that he wanted.

Besides video games, I don't really know what else 12 year olds are interested in.

How about an I-pod or CD player, CD's or gift cards for music, money (always a good option), or an inexpensive digital camera (they've got some that are $30).
