Firstly, I wouldn't think this would be in the martial arts questions, but w/e.
The fight could go wither way, but I would beleive the gorilla depending on the sub-species of tiger, the genders of each, and ages of each.
A silverback male gorilla uses downward, crushing motions, with amazing girth and hundreds of pounds of muscle. The Amur female tigers would probably be around the same size, being around a quarter-ton each.
Let's say it's a Silverback mature male and a mature Amur(Siberian) male, okay?
The gorilla, on his side, has mildly thick hair on parts of his body, but the most wide-open, his chest and stomach, would be wide open for the tiger to rake at and spill everything, unguarded by any hair. They have opposable thumbs, yes, but let's say this is a fair fight with one terrain and nothing to hit with other than the gorilla's fists. The gorillas are herbivores, and don't kill mostly other than their own, only if need be. They have thick limbs, but I couldn't see the gorilla doing much but sitting or pounding on the ground if this was a fair, head-on fight, not a hunting or a predatorial thing, cause if it were, the tiger would probably win.
Siberian Tigers, obviously, have thick coats and light coloring because of their colder range. They are also lined with a small, thin layer of fat which helps them survive in the cold, which WOULD help them if the gorilla had claws instead of fists. However, the tiger does have teeth longer than a human thumb and a sleeker, more fierce disposition. There is an old saying, "When two tigers fight, one will die and one will be badly injured." Not always true, but I'm thinking if the tiger and gorilla get angry, one's gonna be dead when it's over. The tiger has jaws that could crush a human skull, most likely a gorilla's as well, and have to fight to get a meal. The high-protien dietry of the carnivores make them extremely strong and muscular, and their movements are pushing, feirce, and powerful.
The odds are against the Amur, seeing that a gorilla would be so much taller, and with one undetected pound on the tiger, it could die. However, the tiger, seeing such a creature, would be very cautious and try to avoid being touched. If the tiger were to get close enough, it could kill with ease. I would bet on the gorilla, but there's always a possibility.
Although, I have no reason for answering this question because the animals live far apart from each other, the reason why nobody knows the real answer.

Its not a tough question actually.
A tiger outweighs a gorilla generally. 600 versus 500lbs on average.
Cat muscle is slightly stronger per weight than primate muscle.
A tiger has much larger jaws, and of claws.
It can use its back feet as weapons, you know how cats kick when they hold onto things, which in a tigers case can disembowel.
As reada lot guy above says a tiger is more used to killing large game than a gorilla- that while very strong is a non hunting vegetarian.
The gorilla I am sure would put up a good fight, but it is beaten enough in every category that the outcome would not be under doubt.
Tiger.

I love how this is in the martial arts section. Barring any spectacular Kung Fu gorillas, the Tiger would win since it has teeth and claws and is quick, while the gorilla moves slower and does not know how to use tools like logs to get range on the Tiger. Only chimpanzees have been shown to use tools on their own. Without a weapon the gorilla can't win since the Tiger is so well naturally armed with claws and larger teeth. The tiger is a predatory animal while the gorilla eats leaves, its only natural to expect the gorilla to lose.

A gorilla may be more scary looking, but I would bet on the tiger. The gorilla is a herbivore, not really skilled at hunting. The gorilla's displays of ferociousness are for the purpose of establishing dominance among other gorillas. As such, they are more bluff than danger. A tiger, on the other hand, is superbly adapted to hunting and killing prey. A tiger has sharp claws, whereas a gorilla has fingernails. My money is definitely on the tiger.

it could go either way. the gorilla is overall stronger, but the tiger is faster and has teeth. if the gorilla caught the tiger and neutralized it's teeth, the fight would be pretty much over, but if the tiger successfully bit onto the gorilla then it would have a much better chance depending on where it was bitten. also, the gorilla can climb.
however, if Tarzan was there, the gorilla would win! boo yah!

My 15 pound tabby freaked out once and attacked me. Ouch. Based on that experience, a tiger would have no trouble against a gorilla.
