I can assure you all that we are not coming to the end of the world but just the end of an ancient calender which will mark the beginning of a new age and it is a time when man begins at the construction of a new and glorious civilization in which all men will live as brothers and out of it all shall come a new civilization that will be based on love and brotherhood of all mankind.It really is something to look forward to as it will be a day of great celebration

Holy CRAP, does the idiocy never end?!?!?
December 2012 is when the current Mayan long calendar ends, not the world. Saying that the world will end on this day is like me saying the world will end on December 31, 2007, since that is when my wall calendar expires.
I swear, I am going to start reporting this question if I keep seeing it over and over and over and over...

No, the only thing that will end on Dec. 21, 2012 is the ancient Mayan Calendar.

Yes That is the final day.At the last moment we may extend it for a few days if required. But as of now that is the final date. I got a confirmation from god in my dreams. Even if there is an extension it is not much more. The final day will then be 22 March 2013.

I don't rule it out entirely, though I think it's unlikely. In the end, if the world DOES end on that day, then there's really not much we can do about it, other than sit back and enjoy life as much as possible now, right?

I think we are a lot closer to the end of the planet as we know it than most people realize.
Be it from our own doing, some natural cause, religious end times, or time folding in on itself as some suggest.
However, will it be that exact day that everything ends?
I doubt it.

After watching a few shows on tv tonight, I believe it's already ended, like back in the 80's sometime, when everything stopped being real.

No, I do not believe it will end then. It might end the day before or the day after, but not on that or any other specific day someone predicts it will end. God does not lie, and so NO ONE will know when it will be. Predictions merely make a safe haven of a few hours of about 48 hours of safety.

I like to think that it will be the end of something in order to begin something else that's new, but I have my doubts. Either way, I want to throw a huge party on that day, just because.
it's also my brother's 24th birthday, lol.
