2007-11-28 18:16:27 · update #2

For whcwarri... and joey I never said evoution is a fact, I just asked why the republicans believe in a book that is unbelieveable, but microevolution is proven and Macroevolution that whcwarri... is talking about would take millions of years. He would know that if he actually took a science class and didnt listen to a book that implies the world is 6000 yrs old.

alecs the bible is a good book , but in a country separated my church and state, why is the republican party so for Christians and not for Muslims, Jews, and Atheist/Agnostics

Joey, the part where it says the earth is 6000 year old and the parts were people can talk to animals and the part were people do things that the laws of physic tell us they cant.

Joey, joey joey, have you ever read the bible, because it seem i know more about it then you. I hope you know that the bible said Jesus lived 2000 years ago and also in that book it has his family tree that starts with Adam so by starting 2000 year ago and then subtracting until you get to Adam and Eves time you get about 6000 years. And for all the other clames, just open up the book and read something in it

Also read the Constitution as well, joe

2007-11-29 09:14:13 · update #8

Sicne joey seem to be a dumb*** and knows nothing about the american constitution, im hust going to have to prove him wrong, did u ever hear of the The Treaty of Tripoli which is found in the constitution, well it states "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Musselmen; and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries." here is my source http://www.nobeliefs.com/Tripoli.htm
so now, shut up
And about Jesus living 2000 years ago well then I guess AD doesnt mean what i think it means which i can let you look up yourself.

Joey, Well if you open up a science book you would see that the earth is 4.5billion years olds, which is still not the calculation you have given me.

2007-11-30 12:47:31 · update #10

Also the bible says right in that animals talk, have you read Genesis.

2007-11-30 12:51:01 · update #11

And here is what AD truely means:
Anno Domini (pronounced /ˈænoʊ ˈdɒmɪnaɪ/; Latin: (In) The year of (Our) Lord),[1] abbreviated as AD or A.D., defines an epoch based on the traditionally reckoned year of the conception (Annunciation) or birth of Jesus of Nazareth.

I am still waiting to meet one that has read more than the first few sentences of every chapter.

The reason why they do, is a simple little thing called erring on the side of caution. If there is no Hell, it can't hurt to believe or not to. If there is a Hell, it can only hurt you if you don't.
I'm still wondering why they take the opposite view on global warming.
not like it can't be proved that pollution harms the environment. And the decision is the same. Can only harm, if it is denied, and it really does exist.

Many people are critical of those who believe in the Bible. Seems like actually believing in something that was not taught by a 16th century scientist is almost criminalized. For those of you who believe only in science; do you have FAITH in the professor who taught you what he was taught to believe to be true? 500 years ago people believed that the earth was flat. 500 years from now, how much of what you think you know to be fact will have been completely debunked as the primitive ideas of an ancient, uneducated, barbaric society. You see your faith in the teachings of mere mortals is not unlike the same faith developed from studying the Bible. But science is far easier to disprove.

Cordell, why do you keep on toasting the Neo Cons?
Regarding the bible, do I assume that your agnostic or an atheist?

Well I am not a Neo Con nor a Lib, but I am a Christian I a do believed in what the bible says, it is the complete compilation of everyday life situation and wisdom that you can adopt in your life. I suggest that you read it with an open mind and find out for your self.

Now to answer your question, Republicans are Christians and believed in the Christian docrine of love and charity.

You may also want to read your history books regarding the first settler of our beloved country, well you are correct they are Christians.

I don't know, but why did bush think iraq had weapons of mass destruction when he had no proof? Some people just go on faith. Sometimes that faith misleads them. Sometimes it does not. Is it really that wrong to believe in something that brings you faith?

Personally I think many proclaim that for show. I do not think many believe in it as much as you might think. At least they do not act like it.

Why do most democrats believe in man made global warming if there is no solid proof to their claims? By the way, there is lots of stuff in the bible that is provable. You have to understand the difference between taking it literally and knowing what the underlying message is. What do you have against the bible?

2007-11-29 02:45:40 · answer #6 · answered by - 6 · 2 2

You've got it right; they 'believe' in the bible but they do not follow the bible in their actions. They believe that killing others is something acceptable, drinking and taking drugs is okay, stealing is okay, keeping hate in your heart is okay, and other things.

Sure other people do these things too but other people don't praise the bible and god whenever they get a chance then go doing the sins they do.

2007-11-29 02:21:19 · answer #7 · answered by Anonymous · 1 2

The same reason most democrats do. It is called faith and believe it or not there are religious dems as well.

So far, The Bible has been correct regarding every prophecy made. So... Evolution is now a fact and not a theory?? please show me the scientific proof of this, and while your at it, please reproduce it for me, by bringing a man from an ape...after all, isnt that what science says, it has to be duplicated to be proven????

2007-11-29 02:20:45 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 2 1

And global warming has been proven...Anyway, any one who likes the bible knows that most religions are based on the premise of hope.
