In my case, someone else.
I'm usually very understanding when it comes to the way other people feel. If they feel really really upset, I am a good person to have around, because I try being encouraging, reminding them that it's okay to have whatever feelings they're having, that there's no shame in getting help, etc.
But when it's me, I do exactly what I normally advise others not to do. I don't tell anyone until I am just calling the least appropriate person possible, bawling to the point where I'm barely understandable, and I'm sitting in a Walmart parking lot on the asphalt because my kids are in the car asleep and I don't want them to hear me crying. And when I do finally tell someone I need help, I spend an hour apologizing because I know it's stupid what I'm saying.

The only person you can change is yourself. You can rarely force someone to get help unless they are actively psychotic, homicidal or suicidal; or like with an elderly person they are so malnourished they need to go to the hospital and even that's chancy.

That very much depends on the type of person that you are!! I find it easier for me to get help for others becasue I'm the type of person who takes care of others. I always find my self taking care of other before me.That's one of the issues that I'm working with my therapist on.
