Today's scientific findings can give an answer for this Q. Many of the space missions and works is aimed at finding a planet with life on it. Many believe that there exists some kind of life in this whole universe. We know our universe is expanding at a rate and this is happening always. The edge of universe is 4 billion light years away from us. Man cant even imagine the distance of 1 light year. Only now our space craft has passed saturn which is just few 100 million kms away from us. For this one light year with so many zeros we dont know when we will imagine this distance. The same fact is depicted in maths as "Infinity". When we dont know the exact distance of our universe how can we know what is there in that deep world. The height of this ignorance is to imagine how the Creator of all these things is ? Associating manly features like son, moon, sun etc to this All-powerful God shows only man's ignorance. Certainly it doesnt affect the true God as He is above everything we know. We can only say there exist a God but wher and how cannot be explained by the present knowledge we have.

Yes, God has other worlds, but he doesn't need to tell us about what is going on upon those worlds.
Jesus is God's "Only Begotten Son" not his only son. We are all spirit children of God (even those people on other worlds). Jesus is our elder brother, spiritually speaking. (When you look at it in that light, you can see there must also be a Heavenly Mother in there somewhere.)
Jesus was the only human on this earth who had the power over life and death, because his physical father (as well as his spiritual) was God. He needed that power in order to perform his mission, of perfect obedience (ie perfect resonance with God) and overcoming death, through resurrection. He shows us (his brothers and sisters) the way...

The only thing I believe in is The Universe itself. God is a metaphor. There could be life on other planets, and there could as easily not be.
SETI is 47 years old, and has produced nothing, except having become itself akin to a faith-based religion.
Until there is evidence to the contrary, I choose to believe that this is it.

You are too naive!
Churchill said , "people prefer 'tale' to 'truth'!"
A Tamil adage says tales have no ears!
So silently listen and quietly quit from the scene!
You ask why GOD gave his son to this world?
Another shrewd chap may ask :" God, Son and Holy Ghost make one. When son died, only two-third God is left?"
That way, there wont be any end to questions!

I took an astronomy class last year and one of the last things we covered was the existence of life elsewhere in the universe and we calculated the likelihood of it and it is VERY VERY small. So, while yes, I'm a religious guy, my lack of beliefs in aliens is not religion-based, but science-based. Heck, I would love for there to be aliens, but I just really doubt there's anything out there aside from animalistic aliens.

Why just one son here? If slaughtering one son could save the few it did, wouldn't twins or even a dozen or so be better? Or didn't he want to sacrifice that much?

I believe Earth is the oasis in space. Yes. As far as our best telescope can see there are no other earth like planets. God made the stars to light the earth.
