it depends on how booked up your tattoo artist is. i usually make my appointment atleast a month in advance so i can get a time slot that works for me, any closer to the date and the "good" times are all taken. some artists have a 6 month wait and others take walk ins, it just depends on who you are getting to do your tattoo.
be sure to research the artist because too often people just assume that all tattooers are talented and can do the same thing with ink and a needle and that is just NOT the case.

I usually do a week in advance, that way they have enough time to get everything prepared and the consultation is done and out of the way. Also, try to make the appointment for when they are not booked with others....a long day makes a tired tattoo artist...may result in a badly done tattoo (depending on their experience/skills).

What a silly question! It all depends on which tattoo artist it is and if you want one on a weekend or midweek. Why not pick up the phone and ring him and ask when the first convenient appointment is and book it?!?!?!?!?!?!? We are not mind readers love x

It totally depends on the studio, the artist and how popular they are. I have to book about 2 months in advance for mine.

I don't go to the type of tattooist that you can just walk in and get a tattoo on the spot. I have to wait 1-2 months to get an appoinment because his that good. You get what you pay for and a tattoo is for life. Get a good tattooist don't go to a shop that does walk in's.

you might want a week f it's a peak time, but you can get walk-in's most times, are you picky about who does it? the best ones are in demand so make sure you find out who you want to do it
