Can i replace this hard drive with the 80gb hard drive in my ps3?

Yes. The HDD should meet following requirements:
1). 2.5"
2). SATA
3). 5400RPM (7200 can be used too, but Sony advises 5400)

in reality what the 1st guy suggested you like your PS3 (whith your unique 80gb annoying stress) Your new 320 gb annoying stress And some thing To lower back all of it up on you cant lower back it up on your new annoying stress then set up that annoying stress in case you dont have that lots reminiscence used up on your ps3 you are able to only lower back it up right into a usb stress. thats how i did it, i used a sixteen gb usb stress. to help improve my 40gb to 320 i deleted all the sport archives (no longer MY SAVES, only the tips and that i put in each and each game lower back afterwards) i struggled in the initiating to yet then whilst i finished i became into like "wow... that rather wasnt that annoying" lower back all you like is a few thing else to lower back it up on and your sturdy

why would you want to replace it if you can hook up an external one with a usb cord??
