I love Puff. He hasn't been to see me in a couple of weeks. He was motoring on some kind of fuel I'm allergic to. cry

I believe he loved that rascal Puff. Also he brought him strings and sealing wax (and other fancy stuff). They did frolic, but I don't remember anything about rolling.

I never considered the song from a "spirtual" perspective. Gives me something to think about.

Of course, there was a widespread rumor that it had to do with drugs. Peter Yarrow denied it, saying it's "just a children's song." I never believed the rumors or the denials. I mean, some of the words do sound cryptic. Why would a child be named "Jackie Paper"? Why would a dragon be named "Puff"? So it's hard to imagine that the writer didn't have some deeper meaning in mind. But maybe it wasn't drugs. Maybe it was something, well, spiritual.

Nope! Paper was his last name, hence Little Jackie was Paper. He did love Puff, though, so maybe he did "roll" him after a little bit of frolicking. Oh, my!!!

It's a drug song.
Jackie rolled the paper, then puffed on the magic dragon.

I guess that song is proof that you can make anything sound uncool. They should have used that song for the DARE program.
