How is it that you can be within walking distance of a police precinct and have your car broken into? And then when the police is called it takes twenty minutes to get there. Serve and protecting who? People think that just because a precinct is placed in a "high crime" neighborhood that work does not need to be done in that neighborhood. Clean up around your home then work on your surroundings. You can write me a ticket for going over the speed limit miles away from your area, yet you have criminals right under your nose stealing, and killing. Could it be because financial gain is more important or are they just scared to really protect and serve?

Chi-town,That is your problem you idiot! No one is asking you to be everywhere if you could read I said protect your area first. You are right, you are not Superman because he protects his home and focus on the major issues. That says a lot about a police precinct since you say "park in a safer place." The car was right around the corner. Not once did I say it was my car you JACK OFF!!! Lastly sweetie I don't live in the hood and make way more than you will ever make plus benefits.

The Supreme Court ruled that they don't HAVE to " serve and protect " anymore, so they don't...

That is why COLUMBINE happened. Cops are just " revenue enhancers " for cities these days...

Get a grip guy, we're not Superman and we can't be everywhere at once. Park your car in a better location next time, or a get a better job and move out of the hood.

You my friend are a D-bag. You liberals are getting exactly the policing you want and you deserve...none. Everytime we stop someone who looks suspicous we are racial profiling or infringing on someones civil rights, so we stopped. So we figure let crime run rampant and then you might appreciate what the police do, until then its everyone for themselves.

Policemen are careful in reacting to incidents because they could be victims of ambush.
