Buy a book on fixing your credit.They usually have the letters in the back of the book.I would cut it out and copy it so you can send it to multiple creditors, the credit reporting agencies and so you can keep a copy of exactly what you have sent.Good luck!

Who are you disputing to? If it's the credit bureau, simply make a list of the items and reason for the dispute. You need to include the reference number on the credit report.
You don't have to include all that fake "legalese" quoting the FCRA and giving them deadlines. Some of the sample letters I've seen probably give the folks opening them a really good laugh. Keep the letter clean and simple. It will get processed much faster that way.

The longest a derogatory (negative) item can stay on your credit report is seven years. The only two exceptions that I know of regarding this limitation are Ch 7 Bankruptcy (10 years) and UNPAID Tax Lien (indefinitely). Derogatory items six-plus years old will have very little effect on your credit score. Don't waste your time with these items.
