Faith and belief are such a personal thing. I think that we are all born with an inbuilt set of questions. Who am I really, where do I come from and where am I going when I die. Belief in God for many people is as essential and neccessary as breathing. But it is impossible to "prove" to anyone else who does not believe in God that he exists. Centuries ago no-one believed that bacteria existed yet it was still there. Even scientists cannot totally exclude the existence of a "Great Creator".We all need to believe in something.

A lot of people see miracles happening all around them and probably think to themselves that maybe there really is a God. It's not proof but it really gets atheists thinking. I believe in God, I do not need to see him to believe in him. I have faith that there is a God just like some atheists have faith in the big bang. They did not see it happen therefore it takes faith for them to believe in it. There is no PROOF that the big bang happened just what science thought could have happened. Obviously Science is not going to say the Earth was created when they have no proof, so they are going to say what they THINK could have happened. There is no 100% proof and if you believe there is you are mistaken.

Proof: any factual evidence that helps to establish the truth of something; "if you have any proof for what you say, now is the time to produce it"

John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33 HE THAT HATH RECEIVED HIS TESTIMONY HATH SET TO HIS SEAL THAT GOD IS TRUE.

I don't waste any time pondering whether or not god is real. What I do waste time on is "human belief in god". A very real entity which every politician panders to.

Summed up:
God - NOT REAL
Belief in god - VERY REAL
