Does anyone know a good skin care site for cheap? my co-worker recommended gorgeouslookingskin[dot]com, but it seems to be way too pricy. Does the price really represent the quality? cheap stuff sucks, and I don't know if it's worth paying too much money, unless it's free. Any suggestions?

Purpose cleanser, Aloe Vera toner, and tea tree oil... works better for me than all the other expensive stuff I have tried. Pure Jojoba oil as a moisturizer... it lasts forever b/c you only have to use a tiny bit.

I really like the Ulta store. I don't think the products are cheap at all. I started using their new minerals foundation and it actually cleared up my skin. Their prices are reasonable and they have consultants to help you pick the right colors for you. They have a skin care products line that is also amazing. It's relatively inexpensive. With skin care products - unfortunately - you get what you pay for generally - you should expect to spend at least $100 to get started with any good system that includes foundation, wash, astringent and moisturizer. If you pay much more than that - it is a rip off. But if you spend alot less than that - well - you do get what you pay for.

It depends on what kind of skin care products you need. If you want to prevent skin breakouts you would need different ingredients than someone who is trying to moisturize and prevent aging.
Research effective ingredients for your needs, then look for a list of cosmetics that contain what you decide you want. Don't rely on the "hype" from the product labels and advertisements themselves. Read a magazine or website that rates various items, Prevention Magazine for example.

I have found that yes, price = quality. I use Aveda products, and love them. My brother uses them too. They would be my top recommended product, but they are a bit expensive.

Avon has helped some, and so has Mary Kay. I can't use them because they make my face break out more. Proactive dries your skin out, and during the winter months that would be terror!! Hope this helps. If not, you should see a dermatologist.

What do you need? Lotion?

For really great thick lotion, just go to Wal-Mart and buy the generic Wal-Mart brand of Eucerin.

You can get Suave face cleanser and face lotion at Wal-Mart, too. You really shouldn't put anything harsher than that on your face. I don't care how much acne you have. Wash your face twice a day and use a lotion with sunscreen - THAT'S what prevents wrinkles.

proactive is the best! do not join the monthly plan.. order as you need th items.. I order seperatly the cleansing wash two times a year at 16.dollars. all you need is a dab, every day.. and the replenishung cream 4 times ,,just a dab helps,, other wise use the regular stridex pads in between them both! it works, if you want to save money!!!

Good health:
sleep well
eat well
exercise
less stress
stay hydrated
= best skin care possible.
sunscreen = prevent 60% of aging causes from UVA/UVB skin damage

just a daily moisturizer for face in the morning depending on skin type if your health plan covers you to see a dermatologist go see one they are the pros you can ask em
i go to one they examine my skin and recommend me what to use and etc.

or else if you know what skin type you are what your allergies, sensivities are it will narrow your search down.

then you narrow it down more by looking for your price range ..

=P

My mother in law was a salon owner, and although she recommends higher prices products, she says that Neutrogena was good quality and has good results. Nivea is also very good.
