There was a minister that held up a $20 and asked everyone who wanted it. They all raised their hands. He took it and rubbed it between his hands until it was wrinkled and ugly..everyone still wanted it. Then he put it on the floor and ground it in with his shoe until it was dirty, tattered, and torn...everyone still wanted it. The moral of the story is that sometiimes through circumstances and bad decisions, we feel dirty, tattered, and torn, BUT, we NEVER lose our value.
You are fearfully and wonderfuly made and I pray that you will see your value and learn to be a blessing to those around you. God's blessing is worth so much more than anything you could ever steal because He gives you the peace, love and joy tht the rest of the world seeks after through alcohol, drugs and parties. The Bible tells us that to be saved we must be "overcomers". Overcomers of what? Ourselves. Father help this young man live right...forgive us all for our many mistakes...Be with him when he goes to court. You did not promise to take our problems away but walk through them with us, thank you Father for being there with us so we don't ever have to walk alone. Help this young man to make a difference and be a blessing everywhere he goes. We love you Father, In Jesus name...
Please make sure you get a Bible if you should have to go to jail and read the book of Job, also proverbs is good...oh my different verses keep coming to mind. Praise the Lord with singing as that will help get you through. God bless you.

Hon, prayer is good for those who believe in it, but I don't, all I can do is give you some good advice from MY experiences. Wait, 10yrs to life for SHOPLIFTING? That's a BIT excessive! Did you steal big expensive items? I have shoplifted before, and I was caught (never did it AGAIN) but only for stupid stuff like makeup. It was wrong, but that was a LONG time ago. I would always want to shoplift when I was angry and thought I *deserved* something for nothing. After what I dealt with ( I had to go to court and pay $500.00 and I was on probation, which was humiliating, I got myself into a rehab ASAP.Has a good psychiatrist diagnosed your illness? You need to hire an attorney and FAST. NO, you are NOT a bad guy. We are all human and NONE of us are perfect. I am a recovering prescription pill addict and rehab was THE BEST thing that ever happened to me. 1. You need a good lawyer on your side, because if you go in without representation, the judge will just have the final decision and that would NOT be a good thing. I had NO idea Las Vegas was so hardcore about shoplifting. I mean, some people (like O.J.) get away with MURDER and all you have done is steal some dumb stuff. I understand why you feel like you want to do it- it's a VERY strong impulse. You need to get into a rehab ASAP. I'll be thinking about you. Visit my 360 page if you want to talk more. Please try not to freak out. You WILL get through this.

You need a plan. I'm going to give some advice that goes against everything I believe. You need to overdose on drugs, alcohol or both. Make arrangements for someone to deposit you at a hospital emergency room about 1 hour after taking. Hope you know more about it than I do. You want a heavy dose, not so much as to cause death or organ failure. Let them know you were attempting to kill yourself because of your pending court. That should put you in an extended treatment, first suicide watch, then drug treatment. Wouldn't hurt to have your court papers in your pocket when you arrive at the hospital. And the reason for the 1 hour wait is so they don't just pump your stomach and send you home. I'm guessing the court will go easier on you. And if not you will more likely get a medical cell block. You might try religion, Al-Anon, etc. Hospital should start you on those. It will take determination and hard work to improve your life. Too bad you can't just enter a residential treatment program. Those are maily available to relatively wealthy. And government and private programs have long waiting lists. Wher I am waits are from 6 months to 2 years depending on sex, martial, work and other considerations. In the meantime seek out a church, mosque or temple. Consult the religious leader there, ask for those prayers and advice too. elp is best found close to home. Best wishes to find what you seek and need.

Troy, I am so proud that you have salvation in your life. With God in your life, you can make it not matter what. We have all sinned, but God forgives us ever day because we are his children. He doesn't always answer prayers at the time we expect him to, so don't be disappointed if yours isn't answered right away. God will answer your prayers when the time is right. You are a child of God now, so do not be afraid. You continue to believe and pray. Congratulations on your baby. I wish you all the luck in the world and I will continue to pray for you, but don't you give up. We love you brother.:)

Hon i would be more than happy to pray for you. Sometimes it is in the valleys that we grow. You have to get to the bottom before you can climb to the top. God will help you .You need to keep the faith. I will be praying for you and all of your family and girlfriend. Please do not lose the faith, it is the one thing that will get you through your trials. I have been near the bottom my self and I don't now what i would have done without the Lord by my side to get me through. Prayers will be coming your way. Try not to get discouraged. You need the Lord now. He is the Almighty and he can do anything, all we need to do is keep the faith in him.God Bless you my friend.

i pray that you straighten your life up, and god gives another chance, something less harsh than 10 yrs. i don't see you getting a life sentence for shoplifting and drugs, unless you were trafficing heavy drugs. i mostly pray for the health and safety of your girlfriend and baby, i pray that you do your time, whatever it may be, then come home, and be a man, and take care of them. that baby deserves everything life has to offer, but that wont happen if you don't open the doors for him/her. a child needs 2 parents, ones that care and love them, that wont neglect them, or put their lives in danger. get off the mess, get a good job, put your family in church, and raise that baby right, and while your at it, marry it's mother. god bless you and your family.

It's never too late to turn to God for help. This is what His Word tells us: Psalm 34:18 - "The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." Contrite means to have deep sorrow for having done wrong. No matter what the penalty is imposed on you by the court for what you did in breaking the law, God will never leave you nor forsake you, He will be with you always. If the penalty is to serve some time in prison, take advantage of that time and attend the chapel services. Enrol in the drug program in prison. And above all, take your Bible with you and read it everyday, praying as you do for the Holy Spirit to illuminate your understanding. I will be praying for you too, asking the Lord to give you strength and courage to face the days ahead. I'll also lift your girlfriend and your family up in my prayers. Please email me anytime you would like to talk, or just need some encouragement. God bless you!!!
Lovingly,
Virginia

Hi Troy,
No, it is not too late for you. You are starting at the right place, asking for God's help. Sometimes it takes a little discipline to get things fixed. God says that those He loves He rebukes and chastens. (Revelation 3:19) I will pray for you to stay close to God and that He will keep you strong.

That he will want to live for You! Your will be done in this man's life! Father, use Troy in a mighty way to reach others and use his life for good. Father, thank You that You are delivering him from bondage to drugs and drinking. Thank You that he will be the man of God that You created him to be! Thank You that he is Your child and an heir with Christ! Thank You that You will give him the victory! In Jesus' name.........amen!
May the Lord bless you and your family! The Lord loves you wherever you are! Live for Him! You are a son of the Most High God! You are royalty! Lift your head, the Lord will deliver you and give you the victory over your circumstances!
