Since every maker changes every model seemingly every year, such that what was a fan favorite becomes a dud the next spring, the particular *brand* of shoe shouldn't matter.
What *should* matter is fit, durability, and accomodation of your running mechanics. A dedicated running store can help you with fit and mechanics, by studying your footstrike and transfer motion before recommending candidate models. You won't notice the brand name on the shoe as you glide painlessly along your runs in the next 4-5 months.
That said, I've found that the brands that more reliably fit my needs are: Asics, Saucony, New Balance.

The shoe is extremely important when running. It's just as important as your posture/stride, your diet that helps you train and the fluids you put in your body.
I once read in Runner's World that when we run, we put 300 pounds of pressure per square inch on our feet with each stride that hits the pavement. That's a lot of pounding - not only on our feet and ankles, but our knees, our hips, our back, etc. Shoes are important to help absorb the shock and ease the strain on all of our joints.
I would never recommend a certain *brand* of shoe. Each type has its high points and low points and I've even found that the style and fit of the shoes within a brand can change drastically from year to year. (For example, I wore Nike running shoes a lot in the late 90s, but I've been switching on and off between New Balance, Adidas and Saucony since then). I rarely wear the same brand of running shoes two seasons in a row.
This is my advice: go to a specialty shop in order to be fitted for the right type of shoe. Most decent-sized metropolitan areas have stores that are for runners only. They carry all kinds of shoes, training clothes, and accessories. At the store, you will have individual attention as they will measure your feet, find out how much you run, ask you to run in in the store in order to get an idea about the particulars of your stride (is it long/short, do you over- or uner-pronate, are you a heel-striker, etc.). Based on what they see, they can specifically recommend a certain type of shoe for you and they will be committed to making sure it is the right one before you leave the store.
Everyone's feet are different and what works for me might not work for you. I suggest you find a running shop. I promise you'll be in good hands!

Well that all depends on the type of runner you, the weather conditions and the terrain. Most runners starting out, get caught up on 1 shoe and miss out on the advantages of getting the best run out of the shoe. You should have a shoe just for your daily runs; treadmill, indoors etc., and a light but sturdy shoe for your races only. NIKE is the way to go, they have the best selection.

The shoes EVERYTHING in running, they come first of all, you have to think of shoes first before you think of what good food you eat after, and then rest comes third. But all of them are a combination of good athlete, it is very hard to be in good shape if you miss one of theses in order. 1: Shoes, 2: Healthy Food, 3: Rest ( physically and in mind too).
Bad shoes are gonna injure your legs and you will not be able to run again, don't run on hard ground, the roads are meant for cars not for running, it is gonna injure your Shins and Knees, plus muscles problems. There are great shoes in this days, for training I personally prefer Adidas and Nike depends on what kind of training I have, Adidas are great to for training and Nike for competing. But buy the first quality, with soft hills.

Hii shoe is very important while running.When we run we get back the shock in reverse so to avoid it we have to wear shoe.We must select a running shoe mostly preferd by trainers.I think you can go for adidas or rbk.

i personally like asics and nikes but ur own choice can be completely different
dont directly buy shoes by their model
try some out at a shoe store and jog around the aisles

Each person is different. I got fitted for mine at a running store. The most comfortable for me were Brookes and they feel great. I thought Nike's for me were the most uncomfortable. Not saying they're bad but like I said, everyone is different.

Definetly, Nike but get the AIR brand. They are important because it supports you foot, adds endurance, also it works out your legs more, and when your running it makes you feel good because of the traction and bouncy steps.

it all depends on the individual!
as my feet turn slightly outwards i am only allowed certain brands that give more support
