I have known this guy for over a year, but we just recently started talking and admitted that we like each other. He is 21 years old. We hang out a lot, talk on the phone, etc... He hesitates to squeeze when I give him a hug and he sure hasn't made a move to kiss me. I have even made little hints and comments, still no kiss.
I would be content with cuddling up beside each other when we watch movies, but he doesn't even do that. Is he just shy, or does he not like me as much as he says he does?

He could be having doubts, or he might not be sure about how he feels about you. Just give him lots of space and let him make the decision to kiss you. If you can't wait that long, just kiss him anyways.

He is most definitely shy; I speak from personal experience when I say this. I was in the exactly same situation I was to afraid to act because I thought what if my Girl-friend never speaks to me again if I try to make a move on her. I did not want to lose her as a friend so I did nothing. Ultimately we are friends but I always wish we could have been more than friends.
Boys are Dumb he might not pick up on the settle hints that you may be giving him. You need to give him a good hard Jab (Ps: not literally though). I say you just ask him openly that do you or do you not want to be more than friends YES or NO
You will never know till you try.

There are many reason he might be afraid to do anything that would make u mad or mayb he is shy ,or mayb he wants u to move ...my best advice for you now is those steps to try to attract him and the most important thing is
1 ) To be conscious of your appearance the way you look make sure ur very attractive and clean always ..sometimes guys won't love to be kissed or cuddled with a gurl whom they aren't attracted to .
2)Don’t wear clothes that reveal too much or you’ll look like a slut, most guys like breasts but it will attract other male attention. Sometimes cover-up, mascara, eyeliner, and lip gloss are helpful to play up your appearance and make you look fabulous.
3)Achieve the Perfect Personality.Whenever you talk to your special guy think of the three S’s: Sweetness, Sexiness and Smarts. Sweetness comes with vulnerability, shyness and kindness.
4)Act Right there are multiple ways to act flirty, here are some of the best suggestions : Compliments- Be sure to compliment them on things that are true,Intense Eye-The intense eye is a trick that models spend years perfecting,Hair Flip and Twirl- If you want to catch a guys attention, flip your hair casually over your shoulder,Soft Giggle and Smile-According to polls, a laugh and a smile are the sexiest things a female can wear.

I'm pretty shy and do the same thing..Don't break up with him(that's what my ex did to me) Just hug him even if you don't get the response your looking for back...I'm positive he loves you and is just shy. As far the kissing goes: You could give him a kiss on the cheek..and whisper something sweet in his ear..He may have had problems with past people, that hurt his ability to trust. Show him that he has nothing to worry about..you love him and thats all that matters!

He is other very shy, he respects you too much to make a move, he's scared or he may not really want to do those things to you. Some guys are very affectionate and some aren't but give him a little more time to muster up some courage or start looking for a new love interest.

He's either very shy and doesn't know how to make the move, or he could very well be gay. You should just make a move like kiss him etc instead of dropping hints...and if he still doesnt then come out and ask him what's up i thought you liked me?

Just enjoy the friendship and see how it progresses. Try not to be too aggressive, you may scare him off even more. Relationships move too quickly nowadays, take things slow and let nature takes it course. Nothing wrong with a friendly peck on the cheek and a thank you at the end of a date however.

I'm serious when I say this, but maybe you have bad breath and/or BO. But if that is not the problem, maybe you just need to make the first move. Some men are more comfortable when the woman starts things up. Worth a shot, no?

Well, If your a jailbait then he doesn't want to get in trouble or maybe he doesn't find you attractive physcially so he didn't wanna hurt your feelings so he said he likes you too since you guys have been talking for a over a year. Possiably between those two or else he is just too shy.

Have you guys even started going out yet, like on dates? Try that first and work your way to a kiss, or do something surprising, like when you're alone, and your having a meaningful conversation (or any other kind of conversation), just kiss him.
