The word for cannabis is kaneh-bosm, also rendered in traditional Hebrew as kaneh or kannabus. The root kan in this construction means "reed" or "hemp", while bosm means "aromatic". This word appears five times in the Old Testament; in the books of Exodus, the Song of Songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel

They get up to a lot of things in the bible,

specially killing, prostitution, polygamy, murder, war and so on.

They were most likely using crack or crank rather and stoned out of their minds.

Alchohol features highly as the drug of choice, while others have little mention. However the various prophets (wheels inside wheels in revalations) suggest powerful hallucionegics were used (Hashish...that is refined marijuana or just licking the right sort of toad could have been used)

Back in the 60s we liked Genesis 1:11 - let the world bring forth grass (another name for ganga way back when).

No but it is mentioned that god put all plants and seeds on earth for humans to use.

But what do I know, I'm an atheist. I'm sure someone else will say the same thing with the proper source.

Not specifically, but here's Genesis 1:11-12, and 29 on plants:

"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed [is] in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good."

"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."

Here's 1 Timothy 4:1-4:

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:"

Interesting question, I'm not sure because I don't read the bible (agnostic) and I don't really know how long marijuana has been around. I would love to find out if anyone know for sure and could cite their source.

Yes, actually. search "Kaneh-bosm" and you will find many articles about it.

Short story- it was in the annointment oil that God commanded Moses to make, the same recipe used in baptisms, such as that of Jesus. Read up on it man.

Actually, it talks in revelaton about pharmacueticals becoming prevalent among the people of the day. The translation meant something along the lines of "mind altering drugs". The Beast controlling people through the use of stuff like such. Mind you, they might have been talking about Prozac or Cocaine or Heroin, or Acid. Hmmm....
