In the Old Testement of the Bible is the Ten Commandments. The most well known of those is the first one which reads

"Thou shalt have no other Gods before me."

So if there is only One True God how can one have a God before Him? and is this not an admission by God that he is not the only God that their in fact are others.

There are other 'gods' that people make, especially ones that they can see and touch. There is a really good example in the bible that a person (and others who created other gods to worship and replaced the true God) made a god (or an idol) out of wood and said 'you are my god now, I will pray and worship you...'.

There is God the Father (the Godhead), God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit (the one who also councils, leads people to the truth). Also commonly known what we call the 'Trinity'.
It can be hard to think how God is three-in-one, but I found there are things that can relate to understand. For example, You have '1' family, but there are 4 members in that family. One government, but there are many members in that government. Or when when a man and woman come together in marriage they become '1' (or one couple).

It's amazing in ways that God may reveal answers to you. One day I was driving and my nephew was in the car. He was singing a song he learned: "We are one, but we are many. And from all the lands of earth we come. We share a dream, and sing with one voice. I am you are we are Australian."

There is only one TRUE God...people can turn many things into "Gods" by giving them the place that God should have in their life, importance and priorities.
The Bible talks about many Gods...even saying that some people make a God of their own "bellies" or desires, but just because something is worshipped, doesn't mean it is the Almighty Creator.

It's funny you should say that's the most well-known Commandment. In my experience, it's the one people most often forget.

A number of years ago my son, who was ten years old, had come home from swimming. We got into a discussion about the Ten Commandments, but he could remember only nine of them. I told him to think hard, and he finally guessed, "Is it, Thou shalt not pee in the pool?"

I said no, that's not it.

He said "Whew!"

Anyway, regarding your question, in my humble opinion your interpretation of scripture is quite a stretch. If I say, "I have one wife and no other," is that an admission of bigamy?

There is only one true God. He is the God of the Bible. To have another god before Him can be putting people or other things or false gods in a higher place of priority in our lives than we put God.

No true God need to feel insecure with other Gods. The fact is that most of the scriptures are man made and in reality there is only ONE GOD and it resides within each one of us. Just look inside your own pure consciousness and you will find God within your own self in his glorious shining splendor.

Here's my understanding:
God spoke to the Hebrews. They worshipped God the Almighty - Romans worshipped many gods and so did other religions of the time. This speaks to that issue on one level.
On another level
There is only one Power and Presence, The God of Abraham Isaac and Joseph, to me.
God made the universe and all in it.
People are made in the image and likeness of God, therefore this is all God substance.
We are given free will as images and likeness of God, so lowercase g applies to other 'gods'. We are God expressing (when we make our will God's will and not try to bend God's will to ours) as individual humans and we are the ones in charge of whether that is in the forefront of our actions or not.

in my oppinion organized religion epecially christianity was just a way of kings to secretly be in control of there people by frightening them into thinking what the king wants them too. he obviously didnt want people doing certain things so those things became against god. my point is if you look through the bible and oly books than you will find alot of thing that dont make sense

A "god" can be anything that you would put before God. People love sports immensley that they would go to a game before going to church. To the point they miss church the whole season. Sports in turn becomes your god. There is only one true "God"

Bible is not for everybody. The words and phases are confusing. To others religions ,they claim that there are many Gods and heaven, thus i suggested that let the christians live in their lonely heaven and the rest belong to non christians. If hell is only one than give it to them. The bad one ,i do not think you ( Non Christian ) want ,thank you. Both heaven and hell,i do not want ,all of you can have it.Feel free and do not need to share with me........lah........lah.....Smile life is short.May God bless all with wisdom and health.

The "other Gods" being referred to are idols and icons that were so prevalent during those times.

I Cor Chapter 8

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
