i sympathize with you. i had a hard time with anxiety in school also. when my daughter started high school she had severe anxiety too. she ended up getting into trouble at school a lot her freshman year. but she had so much anxiety that we searched for alternative ways to educate her. home schooling works very good for a lot of people. fortunately for her we have a private school nearby that is actually like homeschool. it's a mom & dad that started homeschooling their own children years ago when one of their kids had trouble. that was 20 yrs. ago and they are still homeschooling other people's kids now. they have 44 students and have hired several teachers to help them. this is working out very good for my daughter who is a senior now. it is more like taking college classes where you just show up for a particular class rather than go to school at 7:30 and stay all day 5 days a week. there are other ways to get an education. i wish you luck and hope your parents do what is necessary to help you.

I understand your anxiety and fear. I hated school with a passion, although I was a good student and did well academically. There are a few things you can do here. First of all, talk to your doctor. (I assume you're in counseling to help witht he ocd and anxiety.) Your parents probably want you in school because many, many people believe that it's important to have the socialization of school. (I think it's baloney, but that's not important.) If you work with your doctor now, you can have a plan for returning for school to maximise your chance of success. Also, you can have a support to hopefully help you get out quicker if it goes south again. What I did to get through school was read. I read just about everything but my textbooks. (Those I had usually finished the first week in school.) Since I was pretty smart I could get away with reading during class time. It cut down my anxiety because I didn't have to deal with people when I was reading and I didn't care if no one talked to me because I had a book to keep me company.

Im sorry you are going through this. You didnt mention what is causing your fear. Maybe you should address that. Dont let high school get to u, it such a small part of life, you have no idea. Just relax and take it one day at a time. Thats what I do and also ask God for help and guidance with your problem.Take Care

>>>Why the fear over Creationism in schools? Because it is an unspportble lie, being taught as fact. Children are easily mislead, by their schools, and if a science teacher teaches cretinism in his class, them impressionable children wil be misled into thing that it is factual. >>>I am a High School teacher... and every Science teacher at my school teaches both Evolution and Creationism points of view. Bull Sh*t! >>> It's balanced, and students need to be informed about popular points of view. Science isn't a popularity contest. No body gives a flying f**k about what is popular, and what is not, in a science class; Science is about facts, observable, testable facts. Until you can produce some "observable, testable facts", to support cretinism, then cretinism is mythology, and belings in a literature, or cmparitive religions, class. I would suggest that any teacher, that teaches creationism in a science class, is breaking the law. Farther, your assertions are given the lie, by the number of science teachers who are up in arms, about their various states, trying to force them to teach cretinism in science classes. IIRC, even the supreme court has ruled that cretinism cannot be taught as science, or as an alternative to science.. >>>That is what education is.... it isn't censoring what we don't agree with, but informing of all things. We shouldn't hinder that. If you are a teacher, then it must be in one of those red neck Arkansas, schools, where nobody is more distantly related than a second cousin. Including the teachers. So why don't you tell us where this school isn and what it is called, so that we can set about getting it closed, until proper, responsible, teachers, can be found?

hon, don't be scared. school is there for you, it's a tool for you to get ahead, it doesn't have to be against you. all you have to do is to learn what you need to learn and move on. if you concentrate on just studying and doing your homework, and not on the fact of being in a certain building or around certain people. i'm sorry, i don't really know which part of school scares you or the precise way to help you; you said you are on some medication so i guess that means you've seen some kind of doctor, but try to see a therapist or counselor. one thing i do when i'm scared of something like that is i tell myself how hundreds and thousands of people, some smarter than me, and some dumber than me, have all gotten through this same experience, so i can do it too. you can too! don't be scared and please don't kill yourself. there's lots of life to enjoy out there. be peaceful and kind with yourself.

Check around and see if there's other schools around that you can go to, like alternative schools or ebd schools that you can go to. I know it sounds dumb, but if you really want to get your diploma you should try to get into special education, or take a couple of special ed classes. Not everyone in special ed is stupid, some have emotional behavior problems. talk to your doctor and your school consuler to see if they will give you an iep or individual enrichment program. When you have an iep know one will know you are in special ed. you can get extra help that way. Good luck
