Get some work experience in the field first to see if it's for you. Then look to see if grad school will help.

Sounds like you are saying you want a position as a sales person, doesn't require a specific degree, but an interest in the product would help. Your degree would be of help because it serves to show that you can start a project and complete it. Of more importance would be sales experience. You are certainly looking at a drastically reduced income.

First ask yourself that are you artistic? Can you draw without looking at an object? Can you draw a beautiful dress out from your mind without starring at someones clothing. Take that to an art teacher in a high school or community college to seek their opinion. If you take that to an art school, they will say you can be train, you can guess they want your money.
You may want to take a part-time job at a major department store, i.e Macy's, Bloomingdale, Nordstrom, etc. Don't quit your day job. If that's what you want, attend design school in Los Angeles or New York. If you got money, Paris, London, Shanghai, Hong Kong, etc. will be a great place to learn.
Have you see Ugly Betty? Christina is the clothing designer, see how she was being treated. That's is reality. Not everyone is turn out to be DKNY, Wang, KC, etc... Those folks went to hell to become what they are today.
Good luck!

That is funny, I am a child care provider and thinking of going INTO the medical field as a nurse or medical assistant. I guess we all just get burn out on our jobs after so long. I say you should go for your dream. :) Not sure on where to go get the degree from though, sorry.
