Allow the targeting of gang members based on their affiliation alone. Wearing the colors and other indicia related to gangs (throwing signs, etc.) should be enough reasonable suspicion to stop and detain gangsters. Don't like that? Don't dress like and idolize gangsters.

It would work until gangsters changed their dress to more mainstream. Of course, mainstream seems to be based on what gangsters are wearing.

Same thing goes for bikers gangs. We know they are organized criminal organizations. Why can't we stop them for wearing their rockers?

Oh oh, its that public safety vs. personal rights thing.......

Stricter laws, cut out the "revolving door" with the system, look at those countries that have the least amount of crime involving gang violence and see what they are doing because we don't know what we are doing with kids in trouble in this country. If we are too "poor" to visit other countries then lets look at the States with the least amount and see what they do, I guess, follow by example? Why do we hear and see the same names over and over again? It all starts at the home but that excuse can only go so far. Under age gun possession, too easy to access. Great question, wish more people gave it some thought!

Our country could set an example - not the one they're setting now that gang violence is ok. If our country - and our people - are ok with going to others' "turfs" and shooting people up, gangs sure will too. We need to take care of our kids and our communities - easier said than done apparently. I'll bet you could do some research and find that big-box stores do their sure of contributing to gang violence - as they definitely contribute to breakdown of communities.

Offer kids a future, and crack down on violence in high gang neighborhoods, as it currently is there are places the cops wont even go.

That can be achieved by teaching Kids to be Independent, to think for themselves, and to see others as they really ARE- ordinary people, just like themselves.
