Because if they looked decent and had at least half a brain they wouldn't be in the military! All females in the military are absolute sluts! If they had any decency they never would have considered enlisting! There are some ugly frightful creatures in the marines!

Most Females in the military are NOT fat.
As an NCO, I can tell you the number of overweight women is about half that of overweight men.
a couple of reasons women in uniform might look fat to you are: 1) you only notice the fat ones, and 2) the uniform is not designed with a woman's body in mind.
On the First point, for whatever reason you notice fit military women less and they become background for you (probably because that's what expect military women to look like). Because you are sensitive to overweight women in uniform, you unconsciously notice them more.
Second point, The BDU/ACU and ABU are men's clothes and are designed for a narrow-waisted flat-butt male. When you put a curvy, fit woman in those pants the butt is filled-up, the hips flare out and with a narrow waist, it gives the appearance the woman is overweight.
Out of a Company of 150 Soldiers, of which a whopping 20% are females, I have four Soldiers on the Overweight Program and only one is Female. That female had a baby four months ago and will have completed the weigth-control program successfully by next month's weigh-in.
My Male Soldiers average on the Army PT Test is 237. My females average 248 on the APFT.
SO know what you're talking about before you cast generalizations out there. Your attitude is part of the reason females have to work twice as hard as males to make the same good impression.

Wow as a woman in the military I find this question ridiculous and insulting. I am 5'8" and weigh 128lbs. The uniforms are definately not designed to show off a womans body by any means and they shouldnt be. I just had a baby a week ago, where during my pregnancy I gained 30lbs and was up to 158. In the one week since giving birth, I have currently lost 25lbs of the 30 I gained (meaning I currently weigh 133 and almost back to my prepregnancy weight- which wasn't overweight to begin with) , I guess if thats what you consider fat then yes I am... however for you to say all women in the military are fat is a stupid generalization. Get a life, and stop picking on women fighting for your freedom to say stupid comments.

I doubt this will satisfy you, but my observation is that most military women are strong, not fat. The way we tend to see women, however, makes us think that if a woman isn't model-thin, she's fat. Women in the military have to be able to pass a number of different strength tests, and often have physically demanding duties. This causes them to "bulk up" which can give the appearance of being fat, which is deceptive.
If possible, try to keep in mind that the thin models you see in advertisements and fashion shows are incredibly weak, and are unsuited to physical labor while military women are forced to do many of the same jobs that men do.
Maybe this was too long of an answer based on opinion...

The uniform is not meant to show off the body. Military members have standards they have to keep. Women are allotted more body fat, however that doesn't mean they allowed to get fat.
I used to look I was drowning in my uniform.

I know two female Navy reservists who are definately not fat. One was pretty big last year, but she was pregnant.
There are weight standards for women in the military, similar to that for men.

Because you are looking at an Air Force base, try looking at a real woman in uniform.?
Really though, I'm not sure, it could just be a concidence that you always see overweight females in uniform. I've been on an Army base and everyone there looked phsically fit.
