The length of ones hair is typically not a factor in acne. And to contradict the contributor below who claims that people with long hair "accidentally wash their faces more", the longer the hair, the more contact it will have with your face, so all of the soaps, shampoos, and conditioners will end up on your face, which is why it is important to wash your face in the morning and at night to cleanse any residue that has accumulated. Dirty pillow cases are a culprit, but it is scientifically proven that stress, hormones and heredity are the causes.

I have to answer no because I myself have long hair and I don't have a single zit.
My reasoning is that people with long hair are cleaning their face more often than people with shorter hair (whether they know it or not) because long hair needs more care and no matter what you do, your gonna get soap and shampoo and conditioner on your face when you're washing your hair in the shower, keeping your face clean constantly. Whereas, people with short hair need less care for their hair which results in less [accidental] face cleaning.
There are, however, people with short hair who clean their face anyway, which is recommended.
lol tmi!!!
Hope this helped.
PS: That is about the most well thought out thing I've ever typed in my entire life...

They could get less acne, because the oil from their hair would not be in as much contact with the skin on their faces.

The length of ones hair has NOTHING to do with acne. Most acne is caused by Stress, Hormones & hereditary factors.
