NO ......There are no states that require a background check for either a Bow or Crossbow. As a matter of fact both can easily be purchased in stores or online without any restrictions or age limits what-so-ever......

If your getting a crossbow check your state regulations in some states you have to have a disability to use a crossbow. But if you are getting a compound bow you dont have to go through a background check.
