I saw a question get removed, and although tempting, I will not point a finger at any one group. I am totally in agreement with what this person said and when I went to answer I couldn't because of the small minded people who, on one hand gripe and complain that all their questions get deleted by another group of people with an opposing point of view. Can we really not have the respect for one another as human beings as to honor one of our basic rights in this country - freedom of speech? What is wrong here? What was likely meant to be a forum for discussion of various topics has turned into a free for all brawl of ignorance begetting ignorance. I give up on any chance of ever seeing this forum repair itself from efforts of truly intelligent people who understand that difference of opinion is just and only that.

To those who actually believe that Yahoo reads every "objectionable" question - grow up. The question is gone so I can't repeat it - my memory is not that good. The guy wanted to know why Christians are still coming here when we should see that there is little point and that we should find somewhere else to go to have our spirits edified.

I agree.

And when you think about it, does it really MATTER?

If there ever has been, is currently, or ever will be a "God," there ALREADY is.

If there ever WILL be a "God," that God also existed thousands of years ago.

The conclusion I'm coming to is, it's ALREADY decided.

There's not point to arguing over who's right. Becuase in reality, there either is, or there is not--and we may never know.

So why argue? No matter what OUR arguments conclude, or how far we push OUR opinions, the fact has already been established--we simply don't know the truth yet.

I simply wish we could stop fighting long enough to actually LEARN about other peoples' beliefs.

The debate about freedom of speech vs hate speech is one frequently discussed in all levels of government and society. Until a law is passes stating that any and all offensive speech is permissable, questions will continue to be removed.

well, i'm not one to take up for yahoo, but i am not certain freedom of speech applies here. it's been my experience that if anyone complains about a question, it's removed, regardless.

i take this forum as an exchange of actual usable info as well as good natured give and take between opposing views.

Good point. If an objective standard were applied to all, I would not mind, however, I've often wondered why a question is pulled, when the objective standards should have allowed it.

I agree with you I've had one very decent question removed, the only thing I can figure was it was done by some religious person who hates otherr religions

There's nothing 'wrong' here. This is humanity in all its glory - no wonder God sent someone here to show us the way.

If it was removed, then it violated the guidelines and shouldn't have been posted. The rules here don't care about opinions.
