Let's say you're born as a starving child in Kenya. Why did your soul choose that life? Or if you are born to a family of KKK members in Lousiana? How can reincarnation be real?

You are assuming a reborn soul gets to choose what they are reborn as. Maybe they don't get to choose, maybe they do, maybe only some get to choose - who knows? I don't know. I think I can remember several past lives, so I do believe reincarnation happens. Beyond that, I don't know. I am a Christian.
Here is a possible - if you erred greatly in life, and God gave you the choice of passing on his left hand into the fire of unmaking, of passing into hell or of being reborn into a difficult situation with a chance at redemption, or a chance to atone by enduring and/or alleviating the very suffering you caused in a former life, what would you choose?

Your soul doesn't choose what to be reincarnated as. Your new body is chosen based on the actions your performed in your previous life. Generally in a way that helps make up for your past failings.

Who said you had a chance to choose. I believe you get what body that is available at the time. There is no big magic man putting souls into bodies or deciding how good you've been to get a better body. It's just the luck of the draw.

Maybe reincarnation is true, maybe it's not.
Either way, the belief is that your karma is the main factor for deciding where your soul goes next.

The soul does not decide what to be reincarnated as. That's sort of the point.
