If no one has any proof, how do you know you didn't?

The more closed-minded someone is, the less room they have for error, right?

What if God isn't what you think?

This is for anybody that believes in any god.

Someone once said "God is Love". I figure the God that is Love is the only one worth seeking. Anything else, even the errors that people make trying to find that God, is beside the point. I'm sure I've got my own share of errors, but I figure the more I learn to Love, the more I'll know about Love. And that journey is really all that matters, because even if I'm wrong, I'll have become more loving, I'll have loved, I'll have been Love to someone else.

Peace to you.

Go by your gut feeling. What makes you feel good, at peace, content and happy, is the right "idea of God". Nobody can say for sure, with proof, that they have the right idea of God and someone else has the wrong idea.

All you can do with your life is be the best that you can be and live as much of your with love, understanding and non-judgment for others.

Only when we pass on will we know if we were right or wrong. I am at peace with what I believe and so I feel I can't go wrong when the time comes. I do not belong to an organized religion, and I do not believe in a "devil", demons, anti-christ or fear.

If I die in that state of mind, then I feel I will experience what I believe.

Then I'm sure you will be shown the corrected image to embrace.

God IS - whether we believe or not, God IS and there is nothing anyone or anything can do to move that Truth. And spiritual things are spiritually discerned so only expect those who already know this Truth to be in agreement with you.

I believe that God created the universe and all in it and man is at the top of the creation list. God can open my mind no matter how tightly I think I have it shut. And without me even being aware of it, too!

I'm sure God is not what I think.
As I said before - God IS and cannot be otherwise.

Blessings and peace to you.

Ok you know there are many types of religion of God. Now, people have different toughts of God but my awnser is if you believe in God in any kind of way you will go to heven.Thats if there is a God: I do believe there is a god but if there wasn't then death would be like a long sleep or your spirit could transfer to another body the day you die when another child is born. Thats just what my opinion is.

'God' is an idea. Plenty of people don't believe in one and they live 'better' lives than most who claim to, so you have to go with what you think is the way to live and others worry about their own business. You'll do more damage trying to follow someone else's opinion than just doing what feels 100% ok to you (or, as close to that as you can feel).
I forget who said it, but the greatest crime one can commit is not being true to your heart. If an idea you hear of 'God' doesn't suit you, then scrap it.

Then would the right God of the right idea of God feel insulted that the wrong God of the wrong idea of God got the attention? Wondering?

Some posts here prove than its not just SOME Christians who are close minded. As a Christian I would say that it would be impossible to chose to wrong religion. According to my faith, while some religions may give you comfort, if you truly give yourself unselfishly into any religion, you would know whether it is right or wrong. Once I became a Christian I finally found what I was looking for, what I was missing. While some other religions might fill a need in your life, only one will complete it.

Of course humans cannot on their own fathom what God is truly like, that is why God has given us much information about himself and what he requires of us in his Word the Bible, so, how we can know what to believe about God is by going by his guide and explanation of himself in the Bible.

Honestly, I'm not sure there's any "wrong" God to believe in. God is Ja is Yaweh is Allah and so on. Just as there are many ways to get from point A to point B, the way itself is not as important as whether or not you get there. How you worship a higher power is not as important as the fact that you do.

What if it was possible to have a relationship with God? What if you worked on having a relationship with Him and He slowly revealed bits and pieces of truth to you?
