All created things have a beginning. The universe began with a vast burst of matter and energy scientists call the big bang.
Something timeless caused everything. An uncaused cause. An unmoved mover.
John 1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Cheers,
Bruce

It's usually a problem of our perspective of time. It may be like asking, How can someone travel West and not fall off the edge of the earth?

from a human point of reference, it can't. our universe is predicated on a cause and effect relationship on the macro level. but on the subatomic or micro level, particles DO appear randomly from out of nowhere without a prior cause. so who knows?

I don't understand what is so hard to comprehend about being outside of our time and space. To be eternal.
