The Bible says, "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24)
The Bible also says, "He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." (1 John 4:8)
God is also the Creator, the Father, the Lord, the Almighty, and the Holy One!

Well, since you spelled it with a lower-case g it can be just about anything that anyone chooses to worship, a false god, an idol, a rock, tree, etcetera.
Now if it's God with a capital G, he is the Father of our spirits, and the spirit within each of us is the offspring of God. Our physical bodies were created by Jesus Christ, who made all things in their physical state.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are WE THE SONS OF GOD, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Rom. 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.
Eph. 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things BY JESUS CHRIST:
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was MADE BY HIM, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

Usually, god means a particular deity.
However, you are free to define god as you like, since no one can provide an accurate definition by producing an example of such deity.

God is the infinite life energy that permeate through all beings in the universe, connecting us all. God is all things not male or female, good or evil. It is you and me and everything. It is just as much a part of us as we are of it.

This question was asked just within the last three days (or less) I'll give the same answer I did then.
