Ask your recruiter for the list of approved things to bring with you.

But, you are authorized to bring all white bras. At least one real bra for uniform fittings and sports bra's. Whatever number the paper the recruiter will give you says. They just all have to be white.

All white underwear, cotton conservative Fruit of the Loom style.

An ALL black or ALL navy blue tank/speedo style swimsuit

A small address book if you want
A small bible if you want

A hair brush

Almost ALL of your toiletries are issues to you, but look at the list and follow it closely for things you might want to bring yourself.

Don't go crazy because they will put it in a box and ship it home just as quickly as you show it to them if it is not needed.

Put these things in the smallest backpack you can fit them into.

Do not dress all crazy the day you ship out. Try not to stand out by wearing a princess t-shirt or anything that will get you noticed and tormented. No crazy hair styles or colors. If you dye your hair think about what it will look like in 9 weeks with zero help.

Hope this helps.

When I went to Army basic training my recruiter gave me this list of things to pack. It filled a good size suitcase. When I got there I had to carry this darn bag along with all the stuff they issued me (which is everything they thought I needed). Once I got to my basic training company they took the bag and let me keep the feminine products out of it. That was it. The rest went into a locker until I graduated. I felt pretty stupid packing and carrying that bag through 3 airports and all the way around the post.

Heres what I tell people when we are shipping them off. If it won't fit in a school lunchbox then don't take it. Take enough stuff to get you by (bare minimums) for 3 days. Take $100 dollars in cash, ATM/Credit card, a photo ID, 1-2 weeks worth of underwear (because as a girl they don't issue those), feminine hygene products (especially if you are particular on brand then take enough for the whole time you will be there) personal hygene items, and something to sleep in the first night there. Navy bootcamp may be different then army basic but that is my advice.

Good luck.

all the hygiene stuff is customary. you are able to no longer positioned on makeup at the same time as on accountability and your hair ought to be up in a ponytail or some thing comparable in any respect circumstances. once you're interior the fleet you are able to positioned on customary outfits whilst no longer on accountability. Boot camp is only depressing for each man or woman this is designed to be. in case you incredibly must be interior the armed forces I enormously rec commend you provide the Air stress a extreme look in the previous you connect the army. the army will age you 10 years for each 5 and the army is at an incredibly precarious element good now. All there stuff is oftentimes antiquated and that they're broke and the venture standards shop increasing at the same time as the manning and form of ships shop taking place. to magnificent it off the super restoration the better united statesconsider to handle those subjects will fail miserably. then we are maximum probable going to get a democrat president next 12 months so there are going to be a lot of darkish years for the army. the Air stress is previous all that. they're properly run and you gets all the comparable advantages. i'm presently energetic accountability army and have been in for thirteen years.

Your recruiter should give you a list of things to bring. However, you may be in that group of people that has a fewe days in a hotel during meps process of flying out. Pack light and only the basics. You will be issued basic toiletries when you get to BT. You don't need to take much. Take any perscription medication in the original container. small address book, stamps, gymn shorts and t-shirt, tennis shoes and socks. (You may not get issued navy shorts etc for a few days). Women should arrive in conservative, comfortable slacks or jeans and shirt. No tank tops, halter tops or short-shorts are permitted. Women are also required to bring these items:

6 white bras (standard white cotton -- two should be athletic support)
6 panties (white cotton)
sanitary items (as required)
2 white half-slips
2 pairs of pantyhose or stockings (skin tone)
shampoo (in small plastic container)

you bring ONLY what you are told to bring, nothing more. everything will be sent back in a box to your family.

the clothes on your back and whatever paperwork needed to sign up for Dirrect Deposit and to initiate BAH if authorized.

That means no toiletries at all.. you will be given the opportunity to buy them when you get there. you can bring BC, although it will be re issued to you.
