God's greatest Commandment is Love!!!
He that is without Sin cast the first stone. It is not for us to judge others-we are to love others as God loves us!

When some one tells you something like this, ask them to show you where it says that in the bible.
Even better, start reading the bible and looking things up for you self. A lot of people who probably mean well are only parroting what someone else says.
I've read the bible for many, many years, and I can't think of any scriptures that say to love is sinner is a sin.
Yes, your moms are sinners. But so am I, so are you; its just that you and I have asked Jesus to wash our sins away.
Pray for them, love and encourage them.
Now I know I'll tick-off some holier than though folks out there but don't even preach to your moms that they should or need to change.
Let God tell them what and when they need to change things in their lives; after all He does such a better job at being God then we do, I mean hey, He's God!

I am a 'church goer' too, and I can see as to why you are confused. It is not really a sin to love someone who is gay (love like one would have for their parents) as the Bible says to love one another. Those who actually are gay are sinning though because that is against the will of God. I would suggest you talk to the church elder as they should be able to help you understand this better if you are interested in joining the faith.

I have never heard such a thing as not to love a sinner. I do believe homosexuality is a sin per the Bible, but I do not hate nor even dislike gay people. But I do not want to accept it as fine either. That would be condoning it.

Love will never make you a sinner. Hate and fear makes a person a sinner. The 10 commandments are all based on Love. YOU SHOULD LOVE GAY PEOPLE AND ALL PEOPLE. The person who told you this, obviously doesn't know God because God loves gay people. He may not like the sexual activity aspect of it but He sill loves gay people. My daughter is bi-sexual and I know God loves her just as I love her..... most likely more. Don't let the ignorant people get to you.

The only thing wrong with condoning others behavior is it means that you have judged them,,,,,that is a sin. Jesus loved all,,,,after all we are all sinners, therefore you would be sinning yet again if you did NOT love you moms.

Real love is never a sin. Love those two women with your whole heart, mind, body and soul. God gave them to you as a gift. It is not up to you nor any church goer to judge them. The sinner is the human one doing the judging. God will judge them according to their conscience. Let He who is without sin, throw the first stone. It's true that actual sexual acts of this nature are generally considered sinful, but it is still up to God to be the judge. Loving them is not the same thing as condoning any sinful act. Love the sinner, not the sin.

Loving and condoning sin are polar opposites.
When you love someone, you want the best for him or her. The best is a good relationship with God.
If you condone sin, you encourage a person to remain estranged from God. That is not love.
Cheers,
Bruce

Yes. He's trying to tell you that homosexuality is wrong and goes against God's laws. He also wants you to believe that if you support homosexuality, then you, too, are going against God's laws. If you want to explore religion, find a church in your area that is open to everyone . . . not just a select few people such as church go'er friend. Or you could do the next best thing. Follow your heart and listen to what it tells you.

It is a sin to condone or coerce someone else to sin. That is a rule in the Catholic Church.
But, the two greatest rules are: Love your neighbor as you love yourself and Love God.
If you can't obey the big rules without breaking the little ones, you just have to decide what's right.
