Personally, I don't acknowledge ONE truth. I follow a particular spiritual path but I acknowledge that practically every religion has some truth to teach. I have learned from many different faiths. My own beliefs are based upon faith, but I do not and cannot agree with everything my tradition teaches. Human beings are fallible and religious concepts and dogmas get refined over time. Today's' "truth" may be tomorrow's fallacy.

I am not sure bigotry is the cause of religious conflict and separation so much as disagreement (often on minor points) between different groups. I think ignorance and stupidity cause a lot of it. The Reformation was just as much about Catholic corruption as it was about a stubborn monk who took things much too far. By the time someone was ready to give the fracture was a deep chasm that no one could bridge. I hold BOTH Luther and the Church equally responsible. The same holds true for the split between the Eastern (Orthodox) and Western (Roman Catholic) Churches in the 11th century. Both sides are to blame and both sides need to work to heal the rift. The division of Christendom can in no way be attributed to God's will. Only to man's stubbornness and refusal to see things from a different point of view.

Mr pride D I think religion is a big part of bigotry, that is why I follow Yeshus (Jesus) He isn't a religion or a salesman who will sale u the things u just want 2 here.
But He suffered so much, just to cause some of us just to follow Him, He was beaten, He hung on a Roman cross He died for us, & resurected from the dead, and the only thing He gets is people mocking Him as they did when He walked on the earth humbled as a man.
But that's Ok, because He is coming again & He won't come as a baby, or humble.

Knowing truth means you know there're perspectives in truth, which means the same truth may be a lie in a different context - call it relativity if you like. Some religions miss out this truth in truth, that's why they are murderous; they are dangerous to humanity. So there can't be just your truth. Others also have their truths and you need to reckon with their own truths. That's what harmony and conpromise are all about.

i DON'T know that. that is why i don't scream at people, telling them that they are wrong. and i really wish others would stop screaming at me. if your religion is that cruel, rude and nasty, i want nothing to do with it.
