Why is everyone so up in arms over what category questions are placed? We place our questions in certain categories for our own reasons, and because regulars who frequent those categories are more apt to see them there.
And no it doesn't clog up any system. If you don't like the question, the simple solution is to roll over it.
LET"S HAVE SOME FUN HERE FOLKS and stop splitting hairs over petty details! heehee

um.... as clearly stated above, the question is: Why is everyone so up in arms over what category questions are placed?
(for those who say there is no question here that is)

I've been a member of many online communities before, and I can tell you that the one thing that ALWAYS kills an online community is when people take the rules TOO seriously. Rules are important, but when everyone starts screaming "OFF-TOPIC!!" and "WRONG SECTION!!" at every post that even slightly falls outside of this narrow definition of what is considered an "acceptable" post, the community just crumbles. I've seen it happen time and time again. You need to have a relatively open atmosphere, if for no other reason than it shouldn't bother anyone if you do.
So my point is... yeah, basically I agree with what you're saying.

I am in full agreement with you on this one Rammie. I think that there are people here that are far too critical about many things that "they think" are wrong. You see them correcting others on small spelling or grammatical errors or any little detail they can find. I just don't understand this hair splitting over categories either. Like you, we post in the category that we know our contacts will see the question. Can you just imagine "living" with someone like that! It's like they are just waiting to find you guilty of a misdemeanour so they can let their disapproval be known. Maybe they don't like to see others have fun???

"Up in arms" -- Health and Beauty category
"Clog up system" -- Food and Drink category
"Roll over it" -- Singles and Dating category
"Let's have some fun here" -- Imaginative Sex category
"Splitting Hairs" -- Bullfighting category
:) Hope this helps!

You will not hear any complaints from me. It just slays me that this answer thing is a multi-step process meaning if they don't like the question they still are able to click on "review" and then submit. The ones that complain the most still go through that process knowing that it would be easier just to ignore the question.

To answer your primary question: You just did.
Secondly, Yahoo! Answers make the rules for us to abide by and the Yahoo! managers want pertinent questions placed in the appropriate sections. It makes sense to me.

Whatever floats your boat is fine with me. BUT, the reportalots get their jollys by reporting anything that itches them too so they may just report this one too, Rammie. (((((Ramjet)))))

I'm with ya, girl.
I always post my questions either in here or P&S and I don't care who doesn't like it, lol. Any question I ask usually fits one of those two places anyway, though.
edit: LOL @ 8tm.. you were killing me with that the other night.
