I answered your first question, so I'll answer this one.

While the coats you have shown are formal. They are formal business wear or church wear. They are not evening gown/wedding gown formal.

A good rule of thumb for this situation is to ask yourself, "If I wear this coat with jeans, will it make for a nice casual daytime look?"

If the answer is yes....the coat is not going to be formal enough for the gown.

Traditionally, evening coats are long and go past the knees. Shorter coats are for the daytime, but are meant to be worn w/ pants, jeans or knee length skirts. Not wedding dress or evening attire.

I'm going to be honest here. So, don't get offended. Those are really nice coats. However, they will look stupid with your gown.

Not only do you have the length of the coat, but consider the fabric. Most of those coats are wool. Wool is a heavier fabric which carries a certain bulkiness and fullish to to it.

Your dress is chiffon. Wool and Chiffon??? Not such a hot combination.

I know you don't want to spend the money, but I would invest in something from a bridal shop. Especially, if you will be wearing this garmet in front of guests or when pictures can could be taken.

I would suggest something like this

The dress is beautiful, and if you must have a coat then the second link is better than the first.

However, I would really go with the other people who have suggested a lovely fake fur or velvet coat, look for evening coats rather than day time coats, at this time of year the shops have lovely things in for the Christmas party season

I would actually skip the coat as it looks funny even to a guy!

I would instead look at what is called a stole, wrap,etc...

The dress you picked is quite formal, more formal than any coats you picked. I would consult the bridal shop where you purchased the gown to suggest something apropriate. From the look of your dress a nice wrap (faux fur of course) will keep you pretty warm, as the shoulders and head are the primary places for heat loss.

I'm with a couple of the other girls. I don't think a coat is going to look right. The furry cape from David's Bridal or something similar would look way better. But if you are going to get a coat, I'd pick #1.

The coats are very nice, how ever I don't think that they go very well with the wedding dress. I personally don't think it will look well. The coat is an average winter coat. If you are going to need a coat here is link to one from Davids Bridal that I thought might be good.

Good Luck, and congrats!!!

If you are getting married at a time of year and in a location where a coat is necessary, you'll need a coat. Plain and simple.

As long as it isn't a rag, it doesn't really matter what it looks like. You'll either be in church or at the reception most of the time and you'll have the coat off at those times. The in-between times, you'll have the coat on and the dress won't show.

I don't like either of them...don't worry about what type of coat to wear, nobody will be taking your picture while you're outside (I'm assuming)...and once you get indoors you'll remove it. If there will be outdoor pictures, I'd suggest a faux fur wrap/shawl.... After all, would you honestly wear a bright white coat again?

The second one is good. Check out the links I left from your other question. I found similar coats from Nordstroms that look like that one.

I love the second coat for everyday.

A short coat with a long gown will look funny.

I'd suggest a warm knitted, crocheted, or velvet shawl, in white of course, not hard to make.

personally i wouldnt wear a coat over a wedding dress.
and none of thoes really seem to go with your dress.

what about a shrug, or fake fur wrap? it would look more elegant than a regular everyday run of the mill coat.
