Today I got my first speeding ticket... I was going 100 on a 55 (mph) and the cop gave me the ticket for 65 mph... He told me to go to court and get it dismissed because I had a clean driving record, and that I could plead something (for having a clean driving record)... Does anyone know what he is talking about, because I've been trying to research what he was talking about and had no luck... Should I just go to court and plead not guilty??? What happens from there???

Admission will mitigate the offense while fighting it out with the law enforcers will mean stiffer penalty which usually happens in the court. 99% of the cases are in favor of the Policemen.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aOi6S

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

WOW DID HE DO YOU A FAVOR. UNDER THE RI LAWS, HE WROTE YOU A TICKET FOR 65 IN A 55.

RI LAW 31.41.1-7--APPLICATION FOR DISMISSAL BASED UPON GOOD DRIVING RECORD.

GO TO COURT AND ASK FOR 3 YEARS WITHOUT A TICKET NO VIOLATIONS-AND PAY A $25 FEE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE PAPERWORK TO BE DONE. SINCE HE WROTE YOU FOR 10OVER AND NOT 14 YOU ARE OK.

ahsoasho Is correct. go to court and pay the $25 court fee and get it off your record. It will not go on your insurance and you have 3 years until you can use the rule again.

If you do not have a RI Drivers License then you must bring with you proof that you do not have any speeding tickets from your home state that you have your license from.
