The following steps will help you to write a good Marketing Plan
1. Situation Analysis - Where is the company now, you need to do a SWOT analysis here.
2. Objectives - what are the companies objectives over the next whatever amount of years, what is your purpore in writing this plan.
3. Strategy - How will you acheive the Objectives
4. Target - Who is your audience
5. Tactics - using the 4 P's. Product, Price, Place and Promotion (or extended P's People, Processes & Physical Evidence) How will you acheive your objectives?
6. Resource - What resource will you need
7. Measurement - How will you measure, against objctives, and gather feedback.

You should go to microsoft.com. In their downloads section they have a huge library of standard business forms and templates that you can download and modify for your own use. They should have some 'standard' marketing plans that you can look at and modify to suit your specific industry. Working from a template is great, as it walks you through the entire plan, and lets yuou know what information you should have, get or develop.

develop an innovative,unique and high quality product
set a suitable price to it accordind wether it is nesscit or luxury
market it ia a suitable palce,e.g if sport item market it in asport store
advertise through the internet,local or national magazines,posters ,radio stations or the T.V
promote the product e.g free samples,competitions or free ticket to anywhere
