The Holy Spirit is the One who really teaches me most about the God of Abraham. Also Jesus & Father God.

When others encourage me in faith & confirm things I am learning about God & who God Is.

Just today, I watched the DVD 'The Bethlehem Star'. And revealed how God writes things in the stars. He had signs in the stars & planets that led Magi to the baby Jesus. And also, signs in the stars (Rev.12) at the same time. Now I know the birth of Jesus & also the time of His death on the cross, just because I watched this DVD. I feel sooo blessed. This is an aspect of God I didn't really realize. But God is sooo loving to answer these questions of mine. I had been asking questions about this last year.

The Holy Spirit in my time in devotional Bible reading.

When I was a neophyte Christian, it was a couple men who discipled me throughout those years. One was an elder of my church as a youth, and the other was an older Christian at college, at a Campus Crusade for Christ paraministry. I believe this experience follows pretty well the process in the Bible; especially Jesus' ministry then replaced by the Holy Spirit, and the Pauline letters to Timothy. I now see that I was fortunate. DO get "discipiled" by mature Christians if you are new, or never had anyone to teach you how to read the Bible, pray, etc! And DONT put it off as being just an option; it isn't. It is an actual necessity in order to grow spiritually! Who here did not have to be taught how to eat, and perform appropriate hygiene rituals? Same idea.

The most special person who had a great impact on my spiritual life, who Jehovah had in my life, is my dear grandmother. My grandmother told me I was very ill as a baby. I would not eat, I would run high fevers, and I would not smile. After seeing a couple of doctors, they could not tell what was wrong with me. She told me that she took care of me and prayed to God that I would become well. The next day, my grandmother went to her doctor's office and had the doctor take a look at me. After looking inside of my ear, he seen that I had an abscess growing inside of my ear. He drained the abscess and I began to get stronger and stronger each day! She told me that she immediately fell to hear knees and thanked the Lord for answering her prayers! She always told me that God is good all the time, she taught me that no matter what the circumstances, that I could always pray to God for the solution, she taught me that I should love my neighbor as I would love myself(kill people with kindness), and she made sure that my brother and I went to church every Sunday. My grandmother passed away two months ago. The nurse told me before she died, she looked up and threw up her hands. I remember in Church, she would do that while praising the Lord and was moved that it was the last thing she did before dieing. I miss her severely and I am so thankful that she instilled Godly words of wisdom inside my mind and the love of God inside of my heart. Jehovah is my joy, my shield, and my buckler! Also, what makes it easier for me to deal with her death, is that she also told me about God's plan: The Resurrection where there will be no more pain, death, sorrow, and a person can be reunited with their love ones who have passed. I know on that day I am going to run toward her, my mother, and my brother and never let go! True followers of God will never have to say goodbye to their beloved and live in paradise together! I love my Grandmother and yes, God is good all the time! Praise the Lord!

There were 2 very spiritually mature ladies when I was in my early 20s that helped to set my feet on the right path. One was a counselor, the other a pastor to this day in NYC.

I also found the publications of RBC Ministries to be very helpful for building a sound doctrinal foundation and I listened to several great preachers on the radio in those days, including: J. Vernon McGee, John MacArthur, the Calvary Chapel preachers, Chuck Swindoll, and the Bible Answer Man broadcast. Most of what I draw on for apologetics today comes from being a student of Dr. Walter Martin and Ron Rhodes.

But, more than all else, in those early days, I prayed that God would illuminate His Word to me through the Spirit of Truth and that He would lead me into all truth (John 14: 16, 17)

The Holy Spirit, of course, is the one responsible for bringing anyone to Christ and for leading them into all Truth. That holds no different for me. However, I will say that my father-in-law -- a retired SDA Evangelist whom now operates an independent ministry to continue spreading the Gospel of Jesus to the world -- see the URL below -- he's the one that opened my eyes five years ago to more truth that I had ever seen before in the Bible.

I have been pretty amazed at how my life has changed since then. Naturally, just when a believer starts to experience a high with Jesus, that is just when the devil steps in to try and ruin things. He keeps trying, but my heart is staid on Jesus. God bless.

I've really enjoyed reading Tamil and Sam's wonderful answers; for me it has been my children. There is not room here to explain, except maybe to say that loving someone more than yourself to the point of willing sacrifice is a glimpse into God's heart, and that is where children come from.

The Pentecostal church when I was Baptised for real in a pool and underwater, Coming up was absolutely astounding It was my most profound moment To feel the Holy Spirit fill me up in all that glorious wonderous awe.....God, you are so awesome. I've broke away from that church, But I'm very close to God without a church.

my husband

he told me that years ago, he wrote down on a piece of paper exactly what he wanted from God in a wife, one of those things was that he and I would grow in Christ together.

He was spiritually more mature that I was when we meet, but, he has backslide. By us getting married, we together got on track and began growing together.

While he is on his way to becoming a Pastor, I have learned so much from him. He is the spiritual leader of this house!

That's what he got!
