oh and, is AF, anywhere on the tag? i saw one once, just wanted to know if it was the real thing.

Well here is whats on my USAF dog tag.

Last name First name Middle initial
SS number
Blood Type
Religion

Nothing else is on it.

Nothing that says AF or USAF.

My tags also have the date (year) of my medical shots. Yes, the tags can have AF on them meaning Air Force. I don't know about other branches of service.

What does T68 mean on a dog tag. Mine says T68 B POS (which is my blood type).. but I have never understood what the T68 means.

i was in the USMC 3yrs active. the info was name ssn. and blood type. the reason 4 this obvious blood type if your wounded,ssn if your dead so they can send u back home.War is not a pretty thing.
