Of course Michael Jordan is the best all around player of all-time.....why?
coz, he can pass, rebound, play defense (includes steal and block) and can score anytime he wants....what more can you ask? he has everything the coach dreamed of.
Got it? g0od!!!
the current best all around player I think is Jason Kidd..
Mr. Triple double can also pass, rebound, play defense (includes steal and block) and can score.....he also has everything the coach dreamed of.
J. Kidd current average as of 15 games.
PPG: 11.5
RPG: 8.9
APG: 10.5
SPG: 1.7
BPG: 0.3
he already had four triple double of the 15 games so far.

Ok best all-around player in NBA right now is LeBron James. He passes, scores, and rebounds, not to mention he also plays some pretty good defense. Jason Kidd would be the second presently because boy he got everything, i mean come on he is probably the best rebounder of all-time(for people under 6'5").
Now the best player of all time would have to be Oscar Robertson(shocker huh?) i mean you are asking who is the best "all around player" and this guy could score or pass or even rebound on command. Currently he has the most career triple-doubles in NBA history(181 triple-doubles). To me that's pretty damn good. Second best would have to be Michael Jordan he won 2 gold medals, 6 NBA championships, and even an NCAA title. He is the best scorer in NBA history( even though he isn't statistically because of Wilt Chamberlain he still is the best scorer in the eyes of millions of people) not only did he score thought he also was a really good passer. I mean come on his passing won the bulls 2 of their championships. But at the same time he was also a great defender and a great rebounder which is a really hard thing to find when the person can score on will.
I know putting the Big O as the best all-around player of all time might rub people the wrong way with all the good players in NBA history, But that is my personal opinion.
To the writer of this question I hope you enjoyed my input good luck. :)

Kobe bryant is the best all around player hes the best offensive player in the league and hes on of the best defensive players and yes he can pass did you wach the fiba tournamanets his team just sucks and hes a sg hes not supposed to be a dominant rebounder. Now lebron is a good basketball player but hes not he best hes playing extremely well right now but its only been 15 games we have to wait till the season is over.

Lebron James. He has the next 10 years wraped up. He passes, scores, rebounds, and plays defence. He is going to be the next Jordan but will never be as good as Jordan.

Kevin Garnett... he brings intensity and hustle on every play..he is a winner and he wants to win...there is no other player with the same consistency as far as ppg & rpg.
Next would be Baron Davis... at least only when he wants to be...if he would play every game like he did against Dallas in the playoffs last year, he would be right up there....for sure.

Kobe and i am not a Kobe fan to be the best you have to be able to score and no one in the league gets it done like Kobe way to many game winning shots.
1 Kobe
2 Tim Duncan
3 La baron James

If by all around you mean plays both offense and defense, it is Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Elton Brand.
