Go to www.stutteringhelp.org and download their brochure for teachers. Their book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" won't help you in a days time, but it is worth getting for you to start now to work on your stuttering. That is the book that helped my family of stutterers. Some things to remember are that the more you try NOT to stutter, the more you will. Admitting (even though your classmates and teacher probably already know) that you stutter and asking for your listeners' patience before you start your speech and then just relaxing and let the stutter happen if it does is best. Trying not to stutter will only make things worse. Become an actress and in your mind; think that you are talking to your dog, your best friend, or by yourself (whatever is the time that you stutter less) while you are standing in front of the class. Don't look at them and their reactions to your speech. Look over their heads to a point at the back of the room. Concentrate on what you are saying rather than how you are saying it. Think about having all the time in the world to say what you need to say even if you only have a certain amount of time. Feeling rushed will make your stuttering worse. Don't be shy about asking the teacher to allow you to give your speech after class to him/her alone if you do poorly. Or, ask for another chance to do it in front of the class. The more often you do things that make you nervous, the less nervous you will be eventually.
