doesnt have tobe expensive at all....my girlfriend and i went recently abd didnt spend alot but we did our homework.....look on craigslist under vacation rentals for lodging--alot of people rent out their vacation homes/timeshares/etc when their not using them for dirt cheap(we stayed on the big island-hilo side, for 350 for a whole week) also look on ebay for lodging-- i won someone's timeshare for $167 for a WHOLE week right on the kona coast -granted it was thanksgiving week but still do your research--everyone assumes your stuck with hotels but with the internet you have alot more possibilites...as far as activities buy or rent snorkel gear and do that every day--the waters there are teeming with unbeleivable fish and coral life, its amazing....sitting on a beach is free so and you can jump in with your snorkels whenever you want... also it depends on what island you're visiting...i went to big island and HIGHLY recommend it--thats where the volcanoes, rainforests, waterfalls, sunny different colored beaches are(black sand beach, green sand beach, white sand beach, etc)--its otherwordly--- oh yea and you can hike to flowing lava---when weas the last time you did that???!!! best part--most of these activities are free or cost very little....have fun!!!!

Take a lot of money. Especially if you're staying in the nice resort area. All the prices and I mean ALL the prices are extremely high. As for a good place, my family is from Honolulu, and my parents got married at the Halekulani Hotel. It is really beautiful, but do not forget the money. Good luck! =)

Find a beach house or other dwelling to rent
Budget your daily spending and stick to it
Shop at the outdoor markets (swap meet, farmers market) and cook your own food
There's a good deal to be found in any pricey destination
Splurge on your last day
Enjoy!!
Happy Honeymoon!!

I just went for $880 for flight, hotel and car in Honolulu. Found it on SpinCityTravel.com. They list all the hotel and airfares by price. Plus they had guest comments about the hotels. You'll have a great time! Lots to do there.
