As YakRider said, you will go see your voting assistance officer. Every military base has people trained to help anyone who wants to vote be able to vote. Hubby and I have had to vote absentee in the last two presidential elections, and we will be voting absentee in this one. It's really no big deal. And, since you will be in BMT, they will be pushing ALL of you to vote, especially since this will be the first time for most of you to vote for a president!

You can also check with your state voting office and get more info from them. I'm sure they would be glad to help you!

Yes, use an absentee ballot. Your Voting Assistance Officer will assist you.

Sure, if you send in your absentee ballot before you go to Basic Training.

They aren't gonna let you leave basic to vote.

Especially since that would mean you would have to go back home, to do that.
