Get some "milk thistle" supplement, it is supposed to promote healthy liver function, and help it to heal itself.

You can't expect overnight healing of the liver. However, you can achieve impressive results over time following the program of Dr. Sandra Cabot, M.D., author of The Healthy Liver & Bowel Book. It includes 100 recipes supporting her dietary recommendations. She has at least one other book on the subject, but of the two I've seen this is the easiest to read and understand. There are two things I'd change. I'd suggest avoiding pork and shellfish, which are prone to cause health problems in some people, and also alcohol consumption, since alcohol is well known to destroy the liver.
(I suspect Dr. Cabot doesn't push the alcohol point because so many people do drink at least socially. But if you're serious about improving your liver, that's a definite plus.)

If you OD on tylenol you or acetaminophen you can take Mucomyst. Mucomyst, administered orally, is indicated as an antidote to prevent or lessen hepatic injury which may occur following the ingestion of a potentially hepatotoxic quantity of acetaminophen.

It is essential to initiate treatment as soon as possible after the overdose and, in any case, within 24 hours of ingestion.
