I'm not a Christian, but I think Jesus said something to the effect that we are one with Him and His Father. So, the soul of an innocent victim of torture is actually the soul of God. You know, if God is infinite then nothing can exist outside of Him. If anything does appear not to be God, then, as the Buddhist and Hindus say, it's an illusion.

no. consider every apostle that was tortured and executed which was all but one- judas... God gave them something but He didn't give them ease, He gave them the ability to laugh in the face of death... because they knew with their own eyes, hands and hearts that Christ had walked out of that grave... and because Christ did by the power of the Holy Spirit, so shall they and all who put their trust in the Lord. the day is coming when the graveyards of the earth are going to look like ground zero.

because they suffered with Christ and for the sake of Christ, they will rule and reign with Christ.

Precious in the sight of the LORD are the death of his saints.
Psalm 116:15

What??? If there is a God, why would he do something so dumb. The Almighty and powerful will exchange any soul for $99.95 just com' on down. NOBODY...I SAY NOBODY, BEATS MY PRICES!!! If you can find a lower price, I'll eat a bug.

Certainly not. God never promised that bad things wouldn't happen to us while we lived on earth, and getting tortured for no reason falls under that category.

Would be a nice thought. I know a loved one who was tortured and she remembers it, so I guess she was there, not God.

that is a very deep thought i have never heard it but i is logical i mean i sounds like an act of god but you must remeber that god may also reward the innocent man in heaven for all that he has endured instead of switching places with him but that is a very intersting concept i would say yes he probobly does

no, i do not...but He sends the Holy Ghost, our Comforter, to stay by us and comfort us. it says somewhere that God has a body of Flesh and Bone, and He cannot be everywhere at once, at least that is what the LDS church believes, and The Holy Ghost is the one that does that

No, I don't think that, but I do know that God loves each of us as if we were the only one on earth, and He is able to take care of hurting people and protect them. He doesn't discuss it with us because He doesn't have to.
