I know a person on another forum board who was there when this happened. They said what happened was a bunch of drunk fans had gotten into the drivers motor coach lot and started raising cane (no pun intended) and had to be removed by the local cops. After that the cops chewed butt on the rent-a-cops and told them they better step it up and that no one was to be permitted without proper credentials. This all took place during the Busch practice, in which Kasey was involved. He had left his creds in his motor coach. After the practice he was returning to his coach and was told to stop by the rent-a-cop and he ignored him. The rent-a-cop began to run after him and as he reached him and attempted to grab him he tripped, stumbled and fell. The local cops were still there and saw the end of the exchange as the rent-a-cop fell. As a result they took Kasey into custody pending an investigation. To them it looked like Kasey had pushed him down. He was later released with no charges. As far as anything since, I have not heard or read anything about it. I expect we have heard the last on the subject.

I probably have no right saying this, But its been a week and a half,I`d say by now the way news travels(or the route it takes) He has emptied his 357 into the guys belly.
i`d say the little guard felt more like an FBI agent than a rent a cop and wanted to show some authority and challenge Kasey, I think Kahne has just brushed him aside and the little guys cardiovascular system couldn`t take the pressure.
That's a guess only but that's all anybody else is doing man I hope I don`t get supened to court
I think its over ----------another money deal
DOES KASEY KHANE LOOK LIKE AN OUTLAW

The way I heard it was that the security guy was overzealous in his questioning of Kasey. Perhaps the uniform and badge made him feel powerful and he wanted to let the bigtime driver know who was in charge. However, Kasey didn't have time for that crap because he was late for another commitment. Keep in mind he had on his driver's suit and everything. When Kasey slipped past him it sounded like the guard tripped on his own. I really can't see Kasey overpowering ANY security guards and really doubt that he threw him to the ground or somehow caused him to slip. I don't think any charges got filed from it after everything came out.

I haven't heard anything else. Nascar is so all wrapped up with this NYC with champions week, so this issue with Kasey is just going to have to wait..Maybe no one filed any charges..

probably not going to be any charges. it has seemed like the whole deal has blown over. i agree with the first answer. the guard probably wanted to feel cool so he stretched his authority some.
